Hayden Panettiere is Glamour Women of the Year Award’s “Newcomer” of the year. The Glamour Awards celebrates the achievements of the most talented women in fashion, film, music and TV.

When William Moseley from the new Narnia film, Prince Caspian, presented the award, the Heroes actress joked that she “wished the Emmy’s were more like this!”

As always, there is some serious partying after the awards, with wine and booze aplenty. And as there is no age limit for drinking in the UK, Hayden could help herself to some. And she thinks the drinking laws in America are “ridiculous”.  Here’s what she said to Glamour

I can buy porn or kill someone in war but I can’t have a glass of wine. If I could change one thing about America, it would be its ridiculous age limits on things. That’s why I love visiting Britain. I can walk into a bar and order a drink without having to show my passport. That’s so cool.”

Not that it probably matters, but I wonder if her non-drinking boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia thinks that’s cool too?
