Haylie Duff stars in the upcoming Hallmark Channel original movie Love Takes Wing which will premiere on April 4, 2009. Love Takes Wing stars Haylie Duff with Cloris Leachman, Sarah Jones, Kevin Richardson, Lou Diamond Phillips, Jordan Bridges and Patrick Duffy.
Love Takes Wing is based upon the Love Comes Softly franchise that is based on eight novels by Janette Oke. The series deals with relationships in the Old West.
Haylie Duff will star in Love Takes Wing, the seventh title in the series. In the movie, Dr. Belinda Simpson (Jones) arrives in the town of Sikeston as a physician only to find many people have become ill or have died from a mystery ailment. She worries she’s in over her head, despite assurances from her best friend Annie (Haylie Duff). She must fight her own fears as well as the doubts of the town (who mistrust a woman doctor) and their pressure to close the orphanage (they blame the kids for the sickness). In the end, it’s faith that must lead the way.
