This week, we saw Chef Ramsay put the chefs through an interesting challenge. He told them that each team would have a limited time to cook three dishes from the menu, but only one chef could be in the kitchen at a time. It was like a tag-team cooking event. He said it was to test their timing ability. I think it looked like a very tough challenge.
The red team won once again. But this time, Jen was very cranky about it. She just thinks she’s the best and doesn’t take her consequences gracefully at all…
The red team got to go to the beach and learn to surf. Meanwhile, the blue team had to clean the carpets and scrub the place down. Yuck! Jen mostly complained and Louross was upset that no one paid any attention to him.
Then, Chef Ramsay told them that they would have to create that night’s menu on their own and compete for which team’s menu and food the guests liked the best.
The blue team was like the “Jen team” and they didn’t get along at all. The red team worked well together and made an excellent menu first thing. Chef Ramsay hated the blue team’s menu and made them try again before he accepted it.
Then dinner service began. Matt was sweating so much that his food was tasting salty…totally YUCK! The blue team was at odds the entire time. When dinner service was over, Chef Ramsay told them that they were well matched in the numbers of guests who chose to order their food, but both teams had problems. He told the blue team that they had lost.
Petrozza was sent to nominate two people for elimination. After thinking about it, he nominated Jen and Louross. Chef Ramsay asked which he thought shoud go home and he said Louross should go. So Chef took his advice and sent home Louross. Then, he told Jen and Matt to go back to their original teams.
I was sad to see Louross go home. I think he did have some problems with assertiveness, but he seemed very talented.
