Heroes episode 3.11 "The Eclipse – Part 2"
Airdate: December 1, 2008
I feel sorry for everyone who used to watch “Heroes” and stopped because they thought the show wasn’t any good. You are missing some great TV.
The episode "Eclipse" began with powers disappearing from both heroes and villains. Without powers, everyone was vulnerable. Claire Bennet died at the emergency room from gunshot wounds. Trapped in midland Kansas with Matt Parkman and a paralytic Daphne Millbrook, Hiro Nakamura and Ando Masahashi found their way into a comic store to try and get back his memories and powers. Nathan Petrelli was captured by a Haitian lord pretending to be a god among his tribe. Arthur Petrelli was paranoid at being vulnerable to everyone around him. Only Mohinder was relieved to finally be cured of the formula’s effects on his scaly body. H.R.G. took advantage of a powerless Sylar by killing him with a slash of his throat.
Arthur put it best when he said that the eclipse showed everyone who they really are.
Peter saw it as a vantage point that tipped the balance in Haiti. He and the Haitian rescued Nathan.
At the comic store, owner Sam (Seth Green) and his slacker pal Frack (Breckin Meyer) figure out that abilities are tied to the eclipse. They also found out how Hiro can get his powers back!
Once the eclipse ends, things changed back to the way they were. Nathan Petrelli realized that giving powers to everyone is the way to make the playing field even against villains. Claire Bennet instantly healed, and so did Sylar! The villain-duo invaded the Bennet home to get Claire back to Pinehearst. Just in time, Hiro saved the day by teleporting Sylar and Elle on a deserted island, and bringing Claire back in time to the day Kaito gave the baby to Bennet.
What Claire and Hiro find out that day, may change what the future holds. That we find out in the next episode "Our Father", next Monday December 8.

[...] Grace on December 3rd, 2008 I’m still reeling from Monday’s death trip at "Heroes". I can’t believe Kristen Bell is off the list. Elle Bishop died, and [...]
Okay, I absolutely love “Heroes.” I’ve watched it from the very beginning. But the scene where Daphne credits the scarecrow, Ray, as the savior of her father’s farm and “livelihood…”
I laughed. And laughed. And laughed.
Living on a REAL farm, I can tell you that your “livelihood” isn’t 3 acres of corn, and it certainly can’t be “protected” by a damn scarecrow. It would have been better to put “Ray” in a vegetable garden, where it might possibly make more sense. Please, for the love of god, if you don’t even know the simple things about farming, please don’t incorporate it into your story. That one little scene, as well as a few of the medical scenes with Claire, has lowered the entire series in my eyes. Just stick to your city stuff. You guys do that best.
