At least that&#8217;s what she wanted her dad to believe but as she walked aways she rolled her eyes - the Haitian spared her memory. When she talked to the Haitian in secret, she wanted a chance to talk to Peter, but was warned that he was being watched. So she asked for Zach to get back his memory (and regain the friendship she had treasured just two weeks ago). After all, he was the only one who believed and accepted her for what she was. Her longing to have someone sympathize with her, to know that she wasn&#8217;t alone, it was rather agonizing. I don&#8217;t know if the Haitian&#8217;s words were meant as a comfort : You&#8217;re not alone claire but i can&#8217;t give back memory it&#8217;s not how my gift works&#8230; What you can do, what i can do, that is God.
