Well, this is something we don’t see very often! Advance ticket sales for High School Musical 3 have beaten out advance sales for Harry Potter films:
High School Musical 3: Senior Year has had advance ticket sales of over £1million, far more than Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire.
The musical mania has also sent merchandise sales soaring, with kids’ shop Adams selling out of goods linked to the movie within hours of going on sale online.

WHOA!!!!! i love High School Musical 1&2. actually i was so obsessed with it, but then i moved on to Harry Potter books and fell in love with Ronald Weasley!!!!! Anyway.. i wonder if Twilight will be like that!? I LUV RON!!!!!!
It’s kinda weird. I like the HSMs but they are WAYYY too cheesy. I like stuff like Harry Potter, Twilight, and Spiderman (haha taylor). But, at the same time, I’m going opening night because my sister really wants to see it and I’m going with her. I’ll have something to talk about with my friends, I guess lol. So although I’m going opening night, I don’t have that excitement and anticipation like I have before a Harry Potter.
And I find it insane that HSM3 is beating Harry Potter w/ the advanced sales. Harry Potter is WAYYY better, in my opinion.

Just wait until the last harry potter film is realesed, i recon that will beat HSM 3.
There will be a big build up to it as well with part one so everyone will book tickets for part 2!
Luckily I have never spent any money on the HSM franchise. My daughter,nor niece have ever shown interest in it at all! Thank god!! They are more the Harry Potter/Camp Rock type.
