The script for High School Musical 3 is completed and a tentative release date of October 2008 has been rumored!
“Fortunately, Peter was able to get [the new script] into us before the strike,” director Kenny Ortega told TV Guide at Sunday’s Diversity Awards. “Now we’re developing our music. It’s exciting. We’re looking forward to beginning in ‘08,” with an eye on an October theatrical release.
Despite much chatter about whom from the original cast has signed on to return — Ashley Tisdale, for one, tells us she definitley has — Ortega maintains, “They’re all coming back.”
The movie won’t be haunted (thank goodness! I thought that was a lame premise) but it will be headed for the big screen! Rumor has it that this last High School Musical movie will focus more on the senior year:
“I would love to do a senior version of ‘High School Musical,’” Zac Efron agreed, admitting that he likes it a lot more than the original idea of ghosts invading East High. “I think ending the series as a theatrical film would be amazing.”

Is Vanessa Hudgens going to be in the movie because of her car accident? Is Zac Efron going to be on it because of the naked picture? Sharpay should be a little nicer in the next movie.

i think that sharpay makes the movies great! she has to be nasty and mean and scheming because if everyone was nice than the movie would be boring.. i
HSM1 and HSM2 was great and i hope that all of the characters will come back to and that sharpe will be nicer all around!
Vanessa Hudgens is coming back. Because… Disney Channel and Disney Channel producer people said she apolgized, but OK magizine said Adrine Bilion from Cheetah girls said she was gonna be her… RUMOR!!! Vanessa will be coming back and all of the cast :)
