Hilary Duff at Kentucky Speedway

Hilary Duff headed to the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta on Saturday to serve as the grand marshal for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Meijer 300.

Hilary Duff was at the event on behalf of Blessings in a Backpack, the charity organization that helps feed children over the weekend. The organization partnered with Meijer for the race weekend – raising more than $50,000 and collecting new and used backpacks for students.

Hilary Duff and 24 students from Gallatin County Schools participated in activities at the Speedway, including a pit-road bike relay race. Hilary also give the command for the NASCAR racers to start their engines.
