Hilary Duff has defended Miley Cyrus for the sexually-forward photos that ppeared in the latest edition of Vanity Fair.
According to People.com, Hilary Duff will not be passing judgment on Miley for the photos, and notes that it can be very difficult to navigate this world as a young star, particularly if you’re being pushed.
"People are pushing you to do something, and if you want to do it, that’s your choice, you know? It’s not what I would choose to do, but if she did then that’s fine. That’s her choice."
Miley Cyrus worked with renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz on the Vanity Fair shoot, and her family was on hand for the whole thing. However, the artistic nature of the photographs was somewhat skewed by the article and context in which the photos were used. Photos meant to show Miley’s natural beauty (without adornment of makeup or anything at all) ended up becoming sexually charged. Miley has apologized profusely for this mistake. im so sick and tired of everyone riding on mileys back. she 15 yrs old and still trying to figure out who she is and what she’s all about. all these parents ragging on this girl is pathetic. i could see if she was taking off her clothes left and right. she is respectably dressed and is a positive role model for young girls today. she isnt trying to be an idol that young girls fanatize of becoming. let the girl have a life. as far as vanity fair goes she made a mistake and as far as im concerned shes still human which means shes allowed to do so. i could see if the child is doing something wrong but she isnt she has a once in a lifetime opportunity and shes runnig with it. shes not trying to be hillary and in all ways hilary miley selena and demi will all have similarities they come from the same network. hilary is her own person who managed to be a star and still be respectable and im standing behind miley 100% unless she actually does something to deserve all this bashing. im a 17 yr old girl and i really enjoyed watching lizzie mcguire but like all things it came to an end we’re in a diff generation now and i think miley is handling it well.
well in my opinion miley is kinda trying to be a hilary but we all now hilary is way better and if miley wanted she could of said no to that pic but she didint and took the picture so watever, doesnt seem bad to me but she should of thought of her younger fans!!

P.S: with 15 Hilary was a lot more innocent than Miley is really,she was a bubbly 15 year old sweet kid… Miley looks and wants to look a lot older…
she didint exacly defend her…and what could she sais i mean its Miley life anyway… i mean i dont get it why these people are making such a thing od Miley, first i dont think the pictures are that bad…and second why people think she would be a Hilary Duff..i mean the mejor difference between hilary and miley is like hilary wants to be herself and miley wants to be hilary..hilary is natural herself…Miley should be too….

Mley were like a sweet kid, but honestly, she’s a real wannabe Hilary, but in a desperate need of makeing scandals, now she’s doing whole “Hannah Montanna Movie” I just soooo sick of her, get ur own life girl. GOSH.
because Hilary didnt want to do what Miley did and still doesnt.
she’s not defending miley, she just said it was her choice, what i think it truly was. it’s not like what disney is saying, that she was “manipulated”. she’s 15, a teenager; she’s been in the show business for like what? 2 years? and her dad already was famous, not much, but was. so they both know what’s coming and what she will have to pass through. it was her choice, and even if she’s “embarassed” now, it’s kinda her fault.
i don’t like the persona Miley Cyrus, i like just some of her songs, and i think the has to go through her own path, not imitate Hilary, and if she wants to be another britney spears (not that i’m saying she is, don’t get me wrong) she shouldn’t be doing hannah montana, a tv show for kids and young girls, cause she knows they look up to it, just like what happened to vanessa hudgens and hsm.
i’m 15 too, and i know my time, but i won’t ever take off my clothes for public exhibition, and if miley wants to, whatever, her problem.
hilary is now 20, and only with this age she started to do some different things, like war inc. and that scorpion scene, witch i totally approve, and i think it’s time for her to expand her experience as an actress doing different roles.
but when she was 15 she wasn’t doing those things.
I do want to point out that she’s FIFTEEN (or sixteen, if i’m wrong) and doing a topless photo, even if she’s covered. there a big difference between an adult doing that, and a minor.
Hilary’s right,It was Miley’s choice and she did it.It’s the same with War Inc. at first Hilary was worried about what the fans might think of her in this movie but instead she tried to forget about it and did the movie.
I think Miley is very sweet and she was very brave to do something like this.
Jessica,Hilary had a similar life to Miley when she was growing up,Hilary even said she sees a lot of her in her.Miley looks up to Hilary and just because Hilary had a similar life when she was her age doesn’t mean she’s copying Hilary or trying to replace her.
i think the photoshoot pictures of miley werent necessarily her fault, they manipulated her, and her father should have been looking out for her, as well as her mother, but i dont like miley at all, and she’s become annoying/tramp-like/attention seeking lately.
she does seem to be trying to imitate hilary in many ways, and she just needs to forge her own path and get off the hilary train. they’re different generations.
I wouldn’t say she defended Miley because she just said that was her choice. Anyways she doesn’t really need to defend her because Miley deserves to be blamed! Those photos deserve a lot of attention! I don’t like Miley because to me it seems like she’s copying Hilary! Hilary Duff may not be innocent but she’s definitely not this! Miley is just trying too hard to be as big as Hilary Duff or even replace her! Well I got news for her! Hilary will never be replaced because she does her thing! I luv you Hilary and so do billions and billions of people!!!!
