Rumors have sparked that Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are engaged after photos of the couple out last night appeared on the web. In the photos, Hilary is wearing a ring on her left ring finger, typically a finger reserved just for engagement / wedding rings. However, this tradition has been abandoned a great deal in many years, with people choosing to wear rings there of no symbolic importance.

Hilary duff is not engadge because you know why she is not those kind of girls who wants to get married right away so i don’t believe the rumors. Many young girls like her where’s ring on their ring finger a lot of times already. So this may be possible that Hilary Duff is not engadged yet.
If Mike buy her ring the first thing you think “Did Mike propose to Hilary?” The answer is no one knows. Mike could of given Hilary the ring for this reason: They have been together for a year. Do you think people get engaged in the first year? People have children at the age of sixteen then get married later on. I think Hilary might be engaged but don’t know for a fact. Even though Hilary has dated so many boys n the past I reckon Mike might be the one who will marry her. They will tell the public one day. Just have to wait. People these do wears rings on the wedding finger even though they’re not married. The media should just leave Hilary and Mike alone. Until they are ready to say if they are going to get married or not.

Elizabeth, cait and I were not saying that people should stop judging her. No one will stop judging anyone. That’s just how concieded this world has gotten. We were saying (and insinuating) that all of Hilary’s fans need to stop thinking that Hilary is going to do everything that THEY want her to do instead of doing what she wants for her life and need for her life by what is right to her and comfortable for her according to her. Also, we were not getting heated or anything. We were just stating our opinion on what everyone was saying. And BTW. At the end of your comment, you basically said what I said in my last comment, just more diminutively.

SM and cait, i know what you are saying is true, but people are going to judge her anyway, so ur comments are kinda pointless, no offense. I mean, no need to get worked up over all of this…except really people should let her live her life

If he got her a car that costs over $50,000 for her birthday, then don’t you guys think that ring would be weighing her down if mike got it for her? Think logic, people.
i highly doubt she is engaged. but who knows. whatever her decision is, i’m happy for her.
p/s: guys, stop picking on mike. he seems to be a nice private person who isn’t after the attention. i mean, he very rarely talks about hilary in his interviews, right?
It’s really hard to say.
Many people do choose to wear rings there,and I guess the media just automatically think that.
If the close up picture was better I could tell better.
I would be very excited if they were to get married,but I don’t think it’s true.
She’s just ended her contract with Hollywood Records,so she’s got a lot of work to do with whatever company she goes for.
She’s also made it pretty clear that she wouldn’t be getting married anytime soon.
But on that,she can change her mind.
She seems very happy with Mike,whatever happens their still together and very happy.
Mandi is right,when my sis got engaged her engagement ring was a small silver “rock” on a gold band and her wedding ring was a plain gold band with very tiny silver stones.
