Hilary Duff will be helping to raise money and awareness for HIV and AIDS by participating in the AIDS Walk New York on May 17, 2009. Last year the event raised more than $6.8 million, a record-breaking amount.

I’ve seen this around for a couple of weeks now, but when the team was put together, Hilary’s name wasn’t on it, nor were the graphics associated with it. Once Hilary’s name was there, I thought it was odd that she had no donations raised yet. But now it’s clear that this is something Hilary will be participating in – and you can too!
You can join Hilary Duff’s “Walk with Love” team here or can pledge your support to any of the team members participating.

Steven I agree AIDS is a terrible Autoimmune disease thats killed thousands of people worldwide.
I was overseas Back in the late 70′s when I first heard of it! They called it the black syph, they said there was no cure, and if you caught it you weren’t going home. Then it hit the states in the early eighties. I tried to find the original film that this guy made (Crystal Lake) about his buddy whom had contracted this new disease. Back then it had an incubation period of about ten years. When he died his buddy was right there with the camera, and when they zipped up the body bag he was nothing but skin and bones weighing less than 100 lbs. It definately change my mind about free love. I guess this’ll have to do. Let’s be carefull out there.
