Hilary Duff traveled to New York with representatives of Blessings in a Backpack to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Hilary Duff and charity founder Stan Curtis had the honor of ringing the bell.
Blessings in a Backpack was being recognized with this honor for their “philanthropic initiative during this holiday season.” The charity feeds more than 10,000 children in 7 states in the US via their school program. Hilary Duff’s mom, Susan, sits on the board of the charity and was also at the bell ringing ceremony.
