As mentioned before, Hilary Duff headed to Fort Wayne yesterday as part of her continued support of the Blessings in a Backpack program.
Blessings in a Backpack provides food for kids who might otherwise be hungry over the weekend – kids receive a backpack full of food on Friday, which they return empty on Monday to be refilled the next Friday.
Hilary Duff went to South Wayne Elementary School on Tuesday morning to help pack some backpacks with food. She spent some of her time with the volunteer students from Canterbury High School who help to support the program in Fort Wayne. She also took some time to talk with kids and volunteers at the school:

Hilary Duff shares her dream of helping all the kids of America, to make sure there are no hungry kids out there. Since the initiation of the program at Adams Elementary in Fort Wayne, ISTEP test scores have gone, as has attendance. Hilary Duff says it’s great to hear the positive results of the program, and she has no plans to give up her charity work on it.
“I feel lucky enough to have a voice or a name that people might pay attention to. I think that people might not be aware that a couple neighborhoods away, kids aren’t having food on the weekends, and we just want people to be informed and to know what’s going on in their communities and to help if they can.”

I really like Hil and I think she’s a great person and everything but I think ius stupid to make a second “greatest hits” album in less than 2 years and only with 1 album between them, I mean, is the same freackin thing and she doesn’t have such a long career not even for 1 greatest hits, I mean, is ridiculous!
