Hilary Duff Wannabe on "American Idol"

There have been quite a few Hilary Duff mentions in regards to this new season of American Idol.

As you know, American Idol added a 4th judge this season, Kara DioGuardi. Kara worked with Hilary Duff on many of her singles, and in her Johnjay & Rich interview, Hilary had nothing but high praise for Kara’s work and how she helped Hilary open herself up in her songwriting process.

If you watched the introduction segment to Kara in the first episode of American Idol this season, you would have seen one of Hilary’s CDs flashed across the screen. They showed the cover for her ‘Metamorphosis‘ CD (odd that they wouldn’t show her most recent CD!)

And our last reference comes from 2009 American Idol contestant Lea Marie Golde, who described herself as a “cross between Hilary Duff and Madonna.” Well, she was not a good singer, and has not made it to Hollywood. She also was perhaps too big of a fan of Kara DioGuardi’s work! *shudder* Sorry Lea – there’s only one Hilary Duff!
