Joel Madden & Hilary Duff are on the rocks? Some people seem to think so. Janet Charlton, at least, predicts it:
Trouble in paradise for Hilary Duff and Joel Madden. They’re still in love and want to get married, but money is driving a wedge between them. The fact is, Hilary is making MUCH more money than Joel – an insider sniped "She earns more in a week than Joel has in his entire career." Joel’s band Good Charlotte hasn’t done much in the last three years. Another issue is trust. Hilary is frequently on tour or on location and Joel has her bodygurads reporting her activities back to him. When Hilary is out with the girls and gets someone’s phone number, she writes it on her hand – so Joel can’t find it in her phone. She and her boyfriend have been known to snoop around each other phone books and emails.
It sounds like a load of bull. After all, we know that Hilary is not interested right now in marriage, so of course the whole thing is bunked.

In a position to get married? Yes. Legally, she is old enough.
Considering marriage? Highly doubtful. Hilary is mature enough to decide when is a good time for marriage, and at this moment, it would not only disrupt her career, but what her publicist would call her “reputation”. Even in Hollywood, 18 is a little young to get married.
As for Hilary and Joel, if she’s happy with him, then everyone should stop complaining. And Joel doesn’t smile in pictures because he’s, well, a punk rocker. He can’t afford to get caught smiling. He’s supposed to be emo, and that leaves no room for showing happiness. And the crap about the phone number shit is a load of bull. I write phone numbers on my hand cos there’s nowhere else to write, and its more convenient than pulling out my cell phone and dealing with the crappy verizon contacts interface. So there. Janet Carlton should shut up.

They seem pretty happy for the moment. I recently watched an interview that hilary had with ryan seacrest and she told him she was way too young to get married, and i kinda got the feeling that although she really loves joel, she wants to look around a little more. But i rwally enjoyed reading the part about the money and how hilary earns a whole lotta more than him. hehehehehehe
Boat load of bull dookie… lol. This is so not true… Hilary said it herself that she and Joel werent thinking about marriage yet that they were happy where they were right now… and Hilary isnt one to go sneaking around… Joel isnt one to snoop although a certain cutie (COUGHbenjiCOUGH) did happen to flip out on someone for talking down to me because this particular twin told him to… (COUGHjoelCOUGH) but hey… it was out of protecion… but I do not think Joel and Hilary’s relationship is going down any time soon.
Hey, if they broke up or not.. it’s because they thought this was the best way for them.. so. we can wait for more news… but.. they do what they want… nobody can change it! The money is not a trouble in the LOVE.. because the love is so much intense..
but… in a magazine of Brazil… where I live.. some people made a interview with her… and she said that we don’t have to trust each other 100%..
if she gets someone’s phone number.. what trouble do you see in that? She can’t make friends or something like that.. ohh.. of course she can.. she’s normal like everyone of us.. isn’t she?
So.. think about it.. and.. this can be fake.. if isn’t.. so.. they chose it.. and it’s not our trouble ;)

I don’t think Hilary is even considering marriage yet. But it is possible that there may be a break up. From the information stated above, I don’t think they trust each other very much (in terms of love). The information doesn’t necessarily have to be 100% true though. As far as the whole money thing is concerned, I don’t think money is a problem for either one of them. As long as they love eachother, then thats all that matters. Its really no ones business anyway, whether they choose to stay together or not. I hope all is well for both and good luck.
Hey girls you are so selfish, Hilary can be popular and rich maybe more than Joel but What? don’t be superficial. Love is something it comes from heart not from how popular and cute I am. They are in love. Don’t be so selfish; it’s their life not yours.

joel doesn’t even deserves to be hilary’s boyfriend.hilary is way much cooler,popular,and better than joel.hilary has maybe 1000 times more fans than joel has.joel is getting old.he is nearly 30 years old but hilary is young and happy.i had never seen joel’s smile in any pictures that he has taken with hilary.he just does’t seem to be the right boyfriend for hilary.i think he does’t make hilary that much happy.in the end i have to deny that i’m a little jelous of joel because i’m no.1 hilary’s fan and most important of all i’m her true lover.i’m way more closer to hilary and i understand her feelings about everything.i’m 20 years old and i’m a gradguated person.and just because i’m in the worse country in the world i don’t got a chance to proove myself to hilary.after all i know myself as her no.1 fan
