Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum Got Married

Hillary Scott, the lead vocalist of Lady Antebellum got married over the weekend to fellow country music star Chris Tyrrel of Love and Theft.

The wedding was held on Saturday in upstate New York and the union was announced on Lady Antebellum’s website.

The announcement came in video message form with the couple sharing the news first in t-shirts before cutting away to footage of the wedding day as they stood in suit and gown kissing by a lake.

A video message is a creative way to share their good news, and a lot more interesting than a standard press release. I appreciated the message opening on the two of them dressed so casually; it seemed like they were focusing on their marriage instead of how many flowers or white doves they had at the ceremony.

Lady Antebellum is up for two People’s Choice Awards this Wednesday for favorite album of the year and favorite country artist, so this could end up being an even more exciting week for Hillary.
