Holiday Gift Ideas: The New Girl Gourmet Delectable Line is Awesome!

If you are anything like me, you aren’t quite done with your holiday shopping list. I still have a few more gifts to buy and Christmas is…in 3 days! Yikes! I have to tell you about a couple of very fun products I had the chance to review. (Okay, actually my daughter reviewed them. I watched from the sidelines while she had fun!)

Have you heard of the Girl Gourmet Line? The 2008 Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker was a HUGE hit for the Holiday Season and girls everywhere loved it. Well, it’s the 2009 Holiday Season and JAKKS Pacific does not disappoint. They have come out with a couple of more fun items.

Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery First up, the Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery . How does whipping up delicious 2-tiered fondant cakes sound?

Here are a few details about the cake bakery:

  • Just add water to the cake mix, stir and pour into the cake mold, place it in the microwave and cook for 30 seconds
  • Next, add water to the fondant mix, stir and roll out
  • Remove the cakes from their mold and cover with the fondant
  • Place your cake on the turn table and decorate using the air powered gel decorator unit
  • Add candy garnishes and you have a beautiful masterpiece, just like Duff from Ace of Cakes!

The Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery is the perfect gift for that little girl who loves to bake and wants to create something all on her own. I would tell you that my boys each decorated a cake and had a blast, but then they would get mad at me for posting that here. So, I’ll keep that little secret to myself. Ahem.

Candy Jewel Factory The other item we received to review was the Candy Jewel Factory Oven . This allows your little fashionista to design, bake, wear and eat candy jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets and rings.

  • The set features a small baking oven and variety of molds to create jewelry charms and sweet gems
  • Just fill the molds with the candy chips and pellets and add colorful sprinkles to decorate
  • Bake for 7 minutes and voila, edible jewelry!

If I had another little girl to buy for, I would so go out and snag one of each of these. They are fun, help kids express their creativity and provide hours of quiet entertainment. I heard from friends that their daughters loved the Girl Gourmet line and now I know why.

This makes a great gift!
