Hollywood Legend Paul Newman...Dead at 83

Paul NewmanI’m extremely sad to report today that a screen legend has passed away. Actor/race driver/entrepreneur and so much more, Paul Newman really lived his life to the fullest.

He died from cancer with his loved ones surrounding him after losing his battle to cancer. I grew up watching Paul Newman and some of his films will always be considered some of the best ever. (And anyone who has ever seen the movie Cool Hand Luke knows that they have never looked at boiled eggs the same way again…)

I’m grateful that he gave so many wonderful things to this world in his time here and know that he will be missed.

[I'm sorry that this does not in any way pertain to reality TV, but I needed a way to express my sadness at his passing.]

Lynn, how can this not pertain to reality tv? Nothing is more real than the life of Paul Newman!

Paul Newman is one of the finest men to ever grace our world. He gave so freely on film and with the formation of Newman’s Own, he gave selflessly to the world.

Newman’s Own grossed more money for his Hole in the Wall Gang than all of his films. He was a man who taught the world the true meaning of generosity.

Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward were real people who did real good for the real world — Our world.

And had time permitted, it wouldn’t have surprised me to see him involved in some sort of reality tv program to help others in some way.

He gave so much to our lives, and you honor him with your words.

I’ve seen his products in the grocery store, but until this weekend’s coverage of his life I had no idea the scope of his charitable acts. I’ve never bought Newman’s Own brand, but I intend to now. What a real man.
