Holmes Helped Create High Media Profile for 'All My Sons'

Katie Holmes arrives for a Sunday matinee of her Broadway play 'All My Sons'

Variety is reporting that the production of ‘All My Sons’ gave the Broadway box office a boost. Most of us knew that was going to happen. Katie Holmes’ appearance in the show gave it a huge high media profile and everyone was talking about her and the revival of the 1947 play.

Wants some numbers and stats from the shows? You got it:

  • In the first five previews, almost all of the seats were filled, average of 98% seats were occupied
  • The shows pulled in a nice $478,235
  • All My Sons is now in the running for fall’s top grossing play
  • Almost every individual production climbed in sales.

Not bad huh?

    Not bad at all, Julie!!

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of ‘All My Sons”!

The only thing is, I’m just not sure all that “talk” surrounding Katie is good talk and that’s unfortunate. I wish people would focus more on her performance and less on the media circus surrounding it!

Either way, the play is doing well and in the end, that’s all that matters!

I’m looking forward to the critics reviews when they come out in October. Hopefully, the critics will embrace Katie’s performance as much as theatergoer’s have!

Not Bad Julie. I read it and went Wah? Still, I hope it is positive when we hear from critics. Fingers crossed.
