Alex O’Loughlin and Jennifer Lopez were seen on location for “The Back-Up Plan” in the Greenwich Village in New York City, where they were rehearsing a scene where Alex’s character, Stan helps Jennifer’s character, Zoe into a cab. During the filming of the scene, our favorite Latin Diva looked gorgeous in a white fitting dress that showed off the prosthetic bump she was wearing. Alex, himself, was looking pretty hot by J-Lo’s side.

Seeing Alex in all these pictures with J-Lo, I was curious to learn more about him. I don’t know about you but I never heard of Alex O’Loughlin until recently and decided to look into his background.
If you’re curious to learn more about Alex, here’s what I was able to find.

- Was a candidate for the James Bond role but lost to David Craig

- Also starred in “August Rush” with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in 2007

- Recently broke up with his long term girlfriend, Holly Valance in February 2009

Alex is adorable. He is even nicer on the inside as he is drop dead gorgeous on the outside. Tiny correction. He was born in 1976.
Also he will be starring in a brand new series on CBS in the fall called Three Rivers about a highly skilled transplant surgeon named Dr. Andy Yablonski. Please tune in and watch him on Sunday Oct 4th at 9:00 Eastern/Pacific and 8:00 Central.
He is wonderfully talented! (can you tell I love him???)

Oh, so you noticed that “cute guy” acting alongside the beautiful J Lo? His fans have been raving about him for a couple years now.
I discovered him in Moonlight as the sexy heroic vampire Mick St. John. If you haven’t seen it, please check it out. It’s a great series with humor, romance and action. You will see just how charismatic Alex O’Loughlin is.
Even though CBS cancelled Moonlight (because of conflict with the producers) CBS liked Alex so much they gave Alex a holding deal, and Alex chose to be in Three Rivers, a medical drama coming this fall. Alex is soooo watchable because of his talent and looks. Not only that, he is very humble and oh so kind to his fans, where he has kept them up to date with blogs on his myspace, even returning a few messages.
He loves to meet his fans and will take the time to sign autographs and talk with fans who come to see him on location. He is a total sweetheart and man of integrity. The more I learn of Alex, the more I admire him. He’s a lot more than a pretty face. He’s the whole package. I look forward to seeing his career take off even more than it has!

Could you have any more “muddy” facts about Alex? Please consult somewhere more accurate than Wikipedia…..
He was born in 1976.
He has won professional acting awards in his homeland, Australia as well as starring in several Aussie films.
His 2007 series, Moonlight won a People’s Choice award. Also the Moonlight Series DVD won an award too!

Alex recently had a guest starring role on Criminal Minds ..it was the first time the show was told mainly from the killer’s point of view. He played a serial killer. The episode was called ‘The Big Wheel’ and it was fantastic.
One more fact.. he’s the most beautiful and the sexiest man in the world.

Actually, Alex was born in 1976, so he’s just about to turn 33.

I know it’s not your fault as Alex’s year of birth has been posted as 1975 other places. However, according to the man himself and his myspace page his actual birth year is 1976. And you also missed a movie called The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant, a made for TV movie in Austalia. Alex was nominated for an award for his performance.

Thanks for writing about Alex. We fans of Alex have been enjoying the movie pics coming out of the JLo sites. Links have been posted on all the Alex and Moonlight sites.
Alex has another movie coming out soon called Whiteout which was actually filmed before Moonlight.
Really looking forward to BUP’s release. I don’t usually watch rom-com and have never seen any of JLO’s films or seen her sing but the screencaps you’ve shown look like it will be an amusing film. I’ll definitely be in line to see it at the show and will buy the dvd to add to my Alex collection.

I guess a lot of people have been living under a rock where Alex is concerned. To his loyal fans he is the most beautiful, the most talented, the kindest man alive, and we all are totally smitten. Hey guys, don’t forget his psycho, creepy role in FEED. A fave performance for me. Amazes me how many people are ignorant of Moonlight and Mick St. John. We love him and want everyone to know how much. Hoping this movie will launch his career and make his face known cause he deserves it.

Add to the above, a charming Australian movie “Oyster Farmer” and a movie coming out in Sep “Whiteout”. He is so sweet and genuine we (his fans) love him. Not to mention he’s the most gorgeous man on the planet.
I hope “Back Up Plan” is the springboard to bigger things. He truly deserves it.

Wow, Alex and Holly are no longer together…… :-( that sucks! I thought they were the most gorgeous couple that I have ever actually seen in ‘Hollywood’! Well that just goes to show you, you do not have to be in the limelight with a relationship when it ends. I hope they reconcile, I really, really do.

Hey, Thanks guys for commenting. Serves me right to rely on IMDB and Wikipedia. Next time, I’ll make a more thorough research. I really appreciate the big correction on his birth date, geez, I thought IMDB was reliable. Stand corrected. I think he’s adorable so I couldn’t resist writing about him. I can’t wait to see this movie with him and JLo! Hope you liked the pics. :)
