Hunger Games Fans Start A Twitter Petition To Get Jackie Emerson On Glee

We first heard about “twititions” (Twitter petitions) when Chord Overstreet fans tried to get him back on Glee. Interestingly, this twitition that started up yesterday is about the same TV show—but it’s to get Hunger Games‘ Jackie Emerson (she plays Foxface) on the Fox musical comedy.

There’s no sort of info or explanation on the page: The cause seems to be very simple. The page is run by a fan named @HannahGamble143, who loves Hunger Games stars Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) and Dayo Okeniyi (Thresh). It makes sense that they’d nominate Jackie; when she was first announced as joining the movie, someone unearthed a YouTube video of her audition for a singing competition. Her first bit comes around 3:55, where she sings some of “Holding Out for a Hero.”

Even if the twitition gets more than 12 signatures, it’s unlikely that this would happen in the near future. The Glee producers are currently busy with incorporating the winners and runners-up of The Glee Project into upcoming episodes. (We already met Lindsay Pearce in the season 3 premiere “The Purple Piano Project.”) Ryan Murphy is also meeting with Anne Hathaway about a guest spot.

Still, among the 24 kids cast as “tributes” in The Hunger Games (some familiar faces like Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth, other unknowns), Jackie’s been one of the best at keeping in touch with fans. She regularly tweets to her 5,000+ followers, and over the weekend she and Dayo did a livechat over Twitter where they answered fans’ questions.

She’s so bubbly and fun that she’d be a great addition to the Glee cast, but even if she never walked the halls of McKinley High, it’s a guarantee that fans will still get facetime with her.
