It’s always nice to know that the hunks of the world aren’t just pretty faces, but people with hearts. With the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti a lot of male celebrities have been lending their support, usually in the form of a few million dollars. Money is ideal because of the amount of people homeless and in need of food, water, and shelter. Some of the hunks who have donated or are helping in other ways are Brad Pitt, Wyclef, and George Clooney.
Such a tragedy like this requires the entire world to come together. I’m really impressed with how quickly the media, celebrities, and the world at large has responded to this horrific event. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were apparently one of the first to donate, signing a check for 1 million.
George Clooney is planning to host a telethon on January 22nd, being aired on several MTV networks. It is still in the planning stages, but is definitely a must see event.
