Diana DeGarmo
“Right Back Where We Ended”
Stop, I know you too well
Look around you can’t you tell
It’s all the same
Hauntingly familiar,
Every time we get here
It doesn’t change
And it hurts babe
You know it kills me
When you say
We can work it out
We can try again
That’s what you keep telling me
But I don’t see it ever happening
Cause every time we try, it’s just a matter of time
Before we’re right here, right where we are tonight
Tell me why are we pretending
We’re not right back where we ended
I’m done making excuses
Cause using them
Means lying to ourselves
We (both) deserve much better
Than being comfortably together
And nothing else
It’s not worth it
And that’s why it hurts bade
When you say
We can work it out
We can try again
That’s what you keep telling me
But I don’t see it ever happening
Cause every time we try, it’s just a matter of time
Before we’re right here, right where we are tonight
Tell me why are we pretending
We’re not right back where we ended
There’s no use in denying
That what we had is dying, oh I’m trying
That’s what you keep telling me
But I don’t see it ever happening
Cause every time we try, it’s just a matter of time
Before we’re right here, right where we are tonight
Tell me why are we pretending
We’re not right back where we ended
But I just don’t believe
We can work it out
We can try again

Diana Degarmo has sure had a great year. She appeared on CMT’s Gone Country with Bobby Brown, Maureen McCormick, and Carnie Wilson. The show was the highest rated tv servies in CMT’s 25 year television history.
Diana Degarmo has been interviewed several times for the show the CMT Insider on CMT.
Diana DeGarmo has begun recording her new album with songs written by John Rich and Gretchen Wilson. Diana is living in Nashville now and is signed to John Rich’s Production Company.
It is great to see Diana Degarmo doing concerts, radio appearances and in magazine interviews. She has a picture in People Magazine the Country Edition for June 2008. She is pictured in the magazine with James Otto, Danielle Peck, and Keith Anderson. It would be great if Diana Degarmo would record a duet with James Otto for her new album. They would sure sound great together.

Diana Degarmo was shown on the CMT Insider picking out her dress for the CMT Music Awards show. The dress was auctioned off for charity.
Diana DeGarmo was interviewed by OK Magazine on April 21, 2008.
The interview is below:
When she was growing up in Alabama, Diana DeGarmo told her mom that she never wanted to live outside of the South. And now, after a spell in New York and traveling the country, she says her little-girl instincts were right.
The American Idol runner-up says Broadway was a blast, but she couldn’t be happier with her new life in Nashville.
After finishing second to Fantasia Barrino in season three, Diana recorded an album in 2004, starred in Hairspray on Broadway and toured with Brooklyn: The Musical in 2007.
But just before getting down to recording an R’n'B/pop record late last year, the 20-year-old went to Nashville to appear on another reality show, Gone Country.
Diana says she felt “the buzz” there in Music City.
Anyway, she says, Nashville is the natural home for an Idol veteran. “American Idol brings out the all-American public, and all-American people love country music. It’s a no-brainer.”
Now Diana, who goes into the studio in the next fews days to record her new album, has a house in Nashville, as well as a home on 13-acres of Tennessee country just outside the city.
“I always told my mom if I didn’t live in Atlanta, I’d live in Nashville and here I am,” she said.
“I said I’d never live outside the South, and I lived in New York for a little while, but I’m glad to be back here.
“Nashville is a great town. It’s a wonderful community.”
She said that with all the great work offers that have fallen into her lap after Idol, “I couldn’t be happier — things are really good.” But, she added, “You never know when I just might pop back up on Broadway.”
Right now Diana says she loves to walk her “weenie dogs”, Dixie and Rosie, hang out at the Nascar track with Bo Bice and sing with her friends at the Buck Wild karaoke bar.
She can’t wait to celebrate her 21st birthday with her buddies in Vegas this summer, and their vacation to the Dollywood themepark, where Diana worked as a singer when she was ten.
With all that, Diana says, there’s one thing that definitely isn’t missing from her life: a boyfriend.
“I’m too young to settle down and I’m having way too much fun to settle down with one person right now.
“I’m having fun being a single, young girl in a big town.”
As for this years Idol, Diana says she hasn’t been watching enough to have a favorite (five years on, she’s only just able to hear to the theme music without getting a sudden burst of stage-nerves!).
But she thinks David Cook has a Daughtry-factor that should carry him a long way, and she admits to a soft-spot for David Archuleta, who, at 17, is a year older than she was on Idol.
“David Archuleta is holding it down for the young kids this season. He’s so, so talented and he’s adorable and he’s got an amazing voice. I think it’s a no-brainer that he’s going to get far.”
Love the song Dream, Dream, Dream by Diana Degarmo from her Blue Skies album.

Top 9 Go Country!
Season three contestant Diana DeGarmo recaps the April 1 episode for Us
Hello everyone! Diana DeGarmo here!
Wow, time has flown since my days on American Idol, but great things have come my way. American Idol really helped kick off some wonderful things for me. Life has been really busy and I have no complaints, but it seems that I have missed a bunch of the last few seasons. So, tonight, I actually sat down and watched the entire show!
For the top 9, the contestants worked with the amazing Dolly Parton. (I have to admit I am pretty jealous!) Ryan kicked off the show with a not-so-funny April Fools joke saying the show would not be airing. I almost had a small heart attack. Thankfully, the show did go on — and here are my thoughts on the contestants’ performances:
Brooke White – “Jolene”
I was excited to hear Brooke sing “Jolene,” but I was a little disappointed. The arrangement was cool, but her performance itself was a little bland. I think this little “Jolene bump” won’t hurt her Idol competition career in the least.
David Cook – “Little Sparrow”
David has been such a fascinating risk taker every week and it has paid off for him every time. I’m proud of him for his great vocals, arrangement of the song, and everything else in between. David is going far.
Ramiele Malubay – “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind”
I am sad to say, but this song choice was not very good for her. She has a beautiful voice, but that was not the Dolly song for her. Her performance wasn’t bad by any means, but it was as great as the others and they are the ones you are trying to beat. “9 to 5″ would’ve been much better.
Jason Castro – “Travelin’ Thru”
It’s so nice to see another side of Mr. Castro with his song choice. I’m glad he picked something with a little groove to it. He has a very cool vibe about him, but he needs to keep stepping out of that box a little more each week.
Carly Smithson – “Here You Come Again”
Carly blew it out of the water for me. I was really impressed by how she slowed the song down and really showed off her vocals. She was of one of my favorite performances of the night.
David Archuleta – “Smoky Mountain Memories”
David is amazing – hands down! I don’t get to say this often, but he gave me chills! I’m glad they’ve got someone holding it down for all the young contestants. You go, boy!
Kristy Lee Cook – “Coat of Many Colors”
This is another prime example of how song choice is so important. This song is great alone, but it was not good for this competition. I think Kristy might be a little out of her league on this one.
Syesha Mercado – “I Will Always Love You”
Syesha could not have picked a harder song, in my opinion. She had a couple vocal bumps, but she made it through and did the song some justice. Good job.
Michael Johns – “It’s So Wrong But It’s So Right”
This was a very cool performance all around. Michael looked and sounded the part of a superstar. He will definitely win the sexy vote off that performance!
Diana Degarmo sure had a great debut album with Blue Skies. The song Dream, Dream was voted a number one hit on many elementary school voting polls as one of their favorite songs for the year among elementary school children. Diana sure is a great role model for children.
