Tony Kornheiser with Pardon the Interuption fame, and now calling NFL games playing on ESPN had an interesting concept during tonight’s Green Bay Packers and Cincinnati Bengals game.
There’s been new regulations added to the books for player’s celebration antics in the end zone after a touchdown. Chad Johnson with the Bengals has been one of the more entertaining athletes with his end zone highlights. The new regulations make it illegal for various actions to occur without penalty to the team.
Tony Kornheiser had a completely different suggestion though. He said the players should be allowed to do whatever they wanted and the American Idol judges should be hired to judge the performance. The winners wouldn’t have to have the penalty enforced and the game could proceed.
I think with Tony and Mike Wilbon’s to the point attitudes on the show, they would be some interesting celebrity judges for Idol. What do you think?
I wonder who Tony’s favorite American Idol winner has been. Tony, if you’re reading this, be sure and vote in our poll to let us know.
