I get a lot of emails asking me if Burke (Isaiah Washington) is ever going to come back to the show and the truth of the matter is that I don’t know.
On the other hand, Ausiello has contacts in higher places than I do, so let’s see what he has to say on the subject of Isaiah Washington coming back to Grey’s:

So, there you have it.
But Ausiello had more to say than simply that. He also revealed that Shonda Rhimes was entertaining the idea of having George join the military (in pursuit of a McArmy title?) and head off to Iraq. That would’ve been George’s send off.
That idea – according to sources – has since been “scrapped and replaced with ’something even better.’”
We don’t yet know what the idea is.
How would you write George and Izzie off the show? And are you disappointed that there doesn’t seem to be hope for Burke coming back?

In the Netherlands they are saying now that Katherine and TR. not going to leave the show and that james pickens jr. never said they were… so what is going to happend with them???

If Burke comes back, the show would do better in the ratings.
I don`t care what altercations the greys writers and actors have had with Burke. In the real world we dont always get along with the people we work with. Suck it up and bring him back for the fans. It is all that can be done to salvage the show at this point.

bring burke back – he is the best actor on the show – his relationship with cristina is intense and sweet at the same time, burke is ok too, it would be a great triangule to manage.

BRING BURKE back!!!! The show NEEDS him and will do ALOT better in ratings because frankly BURKE made alot of this show and you guys need to find a way to forget all the stupidity and GET to WORK!!! This show is DYING with ALL the stupid fill ons for Burke, first a lesbian and now Dr Owen the is half psyco or brain dead not sure!!! You guys need to relate to American people that loved this show when it had plot, emotions, and BURKE!!!!!!!!!!!! He made alot of the show with Yang!!! GET HIM BACK and SAVE Grey’s Anatomy!!! We are TIRED of trying to keep track of all the NEW faces and lifestyles, we just want our original crew and cast back!!! The ratings will soar with bringing Burke back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Donna on this. We need him back. We know he’s done something wrong and we know that the show is doing ok without him but we need him back. We have to find some ways to get through to Shonda because she says she never goes online to check on what we’ve been saying.
Don’t worry Isaiah. There are loads of people backing you on this.
Anyways, Javi, where did you hear that news? I just read that he said he won’t hesitate to do a cameo on Grey’s Anatomy if given the chance. Afterall, he was a great contributor to the show. Nobody can deny that.
Please bring Burke back!! He adds a lot of substance to the show. It would also be great to see Yang deal with him as well as possibly his mother. Burke rocks!!!

BRING BURKE BACK! greys anatomy is fallign apart. its not the same without him and we all know it. shonda made a huge mistake and im not saying that what isaiah did wasnt wrong but it was stupid to cause such a big mess over it. things happpen,people say htings. dont ruin the whole show.
and i mean this whole lesbian thing and all the charachters dying!?! they have to make all this crap up just to keep the audience half as interested as they were in the good old days when there were your main characters and not all these new ones.

You know, I’ve been watching the Grey’s re-runs on Lifetime and it just confirms how much Isiah Washington brought to the mix. His passion for the character was evident. His AD/HD was evident in the comment that created the controversy, which in the end, left Grey’s minus one amazing actor and character. The message that is being sent, or the way I personally interpret it, is that mistakes aren’t okay. That being human is not okay. Bottom line is that the show has been unsuccessful in replacing the enormity of the hole left by his departure. With the whiney TR Knight leaving and Katherine H realizing it’s time to get over judgment, maybe it’s time to heal the wound and bring Isiah and Burke back.
BRING BURKE BACK! I quit watching Grey’s when they dumped him and ruined the show. If he comes back, I come back!
Please bring Burke back!!! In tonight’s episode, Christina said that she missed Burke. Hopefully you’re setting the state for his return and not playing with my emotions.
On the 10/15 show of Grey’s, I was so VERY, VERY excited to even hear Burke’s name mentioned on the show! Burke has been gone a while now and the show hasn’t been as good as it was while he was on it. I know Isaiah made a mistake, but keeping him off the show is an even bigger mistake. I will always be a grey’s anatomy fan, but I will admit that the show doesn’t have me excited to watch as much. I’m not really liking the Mercy West invasion as “Cristina” put it. I know that if Burke were to come back that the ratings and viewers would go very high up that it might become the most watched t.v. show. I believe that Grey’s Anatomy NEEDS Burke in the show in order to survive. Grey’s was in its very best during Season 1-3, but started going down hill after that.
I really wish they would bring Burke back as well. His character was awesome and his relationship with Yang was so much better than her relationship with the psycho doctor. I really can’t stand him, he looks like a serial killer the way his eyes are always so shifty, plus he treats Christina like crap. His character is not likeable at all. Bring BURKE back!!! now that TR is gone, even though I like George, and since Isiah Washington went to all that therapy and crap thy required of him, Grey’s Anatomy should finally hold up their end of the bargain and bring him back. Now would be the perfect time for him to reemerge as head of cardiac surgery again, and get Christina away from that freaky daughter. It would be a great triangle to reunite Burke and Yang and would help fill in the void of Katherine Heigl and Ellen Pompeo’s vacations while they prepare for their children. Shonda please, Bring Burke Back!!!

just watched some old episodes of grey’s from the second and third seasons. The show was much better when Burke was on it. I used to plan my Thursday nights around Grey’s but now I only watch it if happen to be at home when its on with nothing else to do, which is a very rare occassion. Simply put, bring back Burke!
at this point grey’s really needs to find a new burke (isaiah was great but i would be willing to deal if they found someone new) and bring him back…christina is really lost without him and this show is getting a little ridiculous.
the first two seasons of grey’s remains my favorite of any tv show…i should have known it was too good to last.

I definetly agree with another person. That all these new characters have. Come about as a replacement for his character and storyline. He was my fave fave cool under pressure but passionate doctor!
yang & burke were the best couple ever! i really miss burke and his cool, calm and suave demeanor. not to mention he was incredibly sexy.
Without Burke this show is not what it used to be. Burke is sadly missed!
