Today may be the SAG Awards, and Angelina Jolie is nominated for best actress for her role as Mariane Pearl in A Mighty Heart, but today holds a stronger significance for Angelina. Today is also the day when her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, lost her battle with cancer and passed away.
Whether Angelina is on the red carpet or at home away from cameras on this intensely private day, we know where her thoughts are first and foremost – with her mother.
I hope she is able to have the best day possible with so much sadness. Luckily she has Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and of course, Brad Pitt to help distract her and cheer her up, and perhaps she will indeed be at the awards, to further keep her mind occupied.
I know all the great PittWatch readers will think good thoughts. When Marcheline passed away, the family requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Women’s Cancer Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. I’m sure the center, and others like it around the world, would still appreciate any donations anyone might wish to make.

Marcheline will always be in our hearts. I’m sure Ange & Brad think of her today too. It will be a nice present on Ange’s mother’s death anniversary if Ange will win the SAG Awards tonight.

today is my mothers birthday, she is 8o yrs old.

My heartfelt prayers are with Angelina and James today. Angelina reminds of her mother so much. In Marcheline’s photos, a sweetness comes through. It saddens me that she did not get to enjoy all her lovely grandchildren longer, very glad she got to see the first three. May this family find peace and comfort on this sad anniversary.
I understand that people remember the date that their loved one passes. I like to take the day and dwell not on their passing, but on their life and the wonderful times shared. I think its very special that Marcheline got to see the woman Angelina has become-wife, mother, actress, and humanitarian. I know she’s looking down and proud of her.

MY MOTHER DIED 4 DAYS AFTER I TURN ONE 49 YEARS AGO AND I STILL MISSED HER EVEN THOUGHT I DON’T REALLY KNOW HER. I WISH FOR ANGIE TO HAVE A VERY A VERY LOVELY DAY WITH HER FAMILY ON THIS ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HER MOTHER’S PASSING. TRY TO REMEMBER MARCHELINE AS A LOVING AND KIND PERSON,MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER. GOD BLESS THE JOLIE-PITT FAMILY.
I hope she is comforted with the fact that she loved and showed love for her mother and that her mother did the same in return.

It’s sad that the SAG awards are on this day, hopefully it will be a good distraction. But I remember when I lost my mom, nothing could or can really distract me from it. I hope Angie and James don’t get too sad and remember all the good times.
As long as they are together with their loved ones nothing can dampen the atmosphere of today. I’m sure Marcheline is looking down from heaven to the Jolie-Pitt’s with a big grin on her face. She passed away happy knowing Ange is with Brad & their 4 kids. I understand Marcheline adored Brad. We should all remember the happy times & not the bad times with our departed loved ones. God bless them always.
Guys the SAG Awards has already started but mostly a lot of talks. In a few hours the actors will start coming in, too bad the weather is not cooperating, it’s raining. They mentioned a lot about Brad & Ange then they showed where the actors are seating, Tom Cruise is seating in front, he is one of the presentors. One of the reporters said Brangelina will be at SAG Awards, then the guy said, they are really going to be here, are they not going to save the world? I hope, Ange wears something different tonight aside from black. I’m done cooking dinner, all I will do is watch tv. I can’t wait for them to show up. Lucky for those fans who are up closed to the red carpet. BBL.
Guys you wouldn’t believe it, Brad & Ange just arrived at SAG Awards, she looks pregnant. She is so stunning, Brad is handsome too. My gosh, she is pregnant.
Ange is wearing sleeveless gown with some red, gray & black but it is loose gown. Brad is still scruffy looking & very attentive to Ange.
Yesss! Our fave couple just arrived on the red carpet and Angie looks amazing in a beautiful flowy caramel/sepia colored chiffon gown. Brad’s looking scruffy-licious once again!! Gosh I really needed this uplifting badly after a very sad week losing Heath. Hello BAMPZ fans!
She looks very pregnant, this is pretty exciting!! I hope there is an announcement soon. When the wind was blowing her dress, there looked like a bump to me!!
Hello to the fans. I just saw their pictures arriving at the red carpet. They look great, Angie looks very beautiful, she always does to me. I have yet to see a picture of her I did not like. Rooting for Angie. Have a good Sunday evening everyone.
Marcheline was a wonderful woman. She did a beautiful job raising Angie and her brother. I am sure that wherever she is, she is watching over Angie and her family
and making sure that they are continued to be showered with even more blessings.
