Inglourious Basterds continues to do well at box office!

Even though Inglourious Basterds is now in its third week, it’s still doing extremely well at the box office. Over the long weekend it took in over $15 million, landing in second place (after Final Destinations, another movie I’d like to see).

GERMANY-US-CINEMA-INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS-PITT

In total it’s made $95,226,000 which is excellent since they’ve now more than cleared the $70 million budget the movie had!

I wish I could remember where I read this so I could source it properly; I don’t even remember if it was online or in our local newspaper. Anyway, in the article it said that Quentin Tarantino could thank Brad Pitt for this film being his record-breaking opening. They said that Brad was the one who brought in all the women to the theater who might not normally see a Tarantino film.

I’ve mentioned it before but I’m a HUGE Quentin Tarantino fan so I’d be interested in Inglourious Basterds anyway, but I have to admit that the Brad Pitt Factor raises it up even higher for me!

I haven’t been able to see the movie yet because I’ve been too busy on vacation, but I hope to see it after I get back home. Who else still hasn’t seen it but plans to do so soon?

Kati- I think that’s exactly why the tabs have been printing all those crazy stories! Because the J-Ps are laying low in France, there’s really no new real news about them to report (not that the tabs ever really print real news, but you know what I mean!), so the tabs are likely going crazy and thus making up all those crazy stories!

Paris Hilton’s dog supposedly lives in a $325,000 house. Nice eh? lol. Don’t know if the story about Brad is true, but I can see that it would be an intriguing project for him. Maybe just running around on a wheel isn’t enough entertainment for the kids lol. Btw IB was great. I can’t say I am a long time Tarantino fan though. I saw Kill Bill 1 and 2 and at the time didn’t understand his genre of movie; found it WAY too violent, but entertaining and yes; you have to suspend reality. I did do a lot of research on him before I saw IB and read and saw interviews he gave on tv. I do love his passion for the art of movie making. IB has violence, but the dialogue is superb. He is a master of words and suspense.

Helen – I´m most definitely with you! I just hate these kind of stories. They are coming so often nowadays that I keep wondering where on earth are these rags getting their stories? Like you said, joliepittfanatic, couples who have just broken up don´t take their kids out together! That love Brad and Angie showed for each other at the premiere of IB can´t be faked! It was true love -not FAKED love! Those two are happier than ever. But maybe the reason why these stories are coming out right now is because we see very little of them now that they´re in France having some much deserved family time. If Angie decides to have some alone time with the girls and Brad with the boys the rags write immediately that those two have broken up. The truth is that Angie and Brad love to spend some individual time and group time with their children. That meaning if Brad wants to take the boys to a concert he does just that and if Angie decides to have some one-on-one time with Shiloh or Zee she is entitled to it. Still they spend a lot of time as a family too. I really hope that the Jolie-Pitt family begins to spend more and more time in their beautiful French estate. There they can have some privacy and the children will grow up normally. And also Angie and Brad love being there. And I don´t blame them. God bless the JPs 4ever!

Helen- Yes, I’m with you! Honestly, Out of Touch must have forgotten about those pictures of Angie and Brad taking the boys to buy Gerbils, Zee and Shi out to lunch, and Zee and Shi to Toys R Us.

Couples that have just broken up generally don’t take their kids out together! Also, couples who have broken up generally don’t look happy and in love with each other (and the happiness that Angie and Brad show in some of those photos, as well as the photos from the LA premire of IB, cannot be faked)!

    What happen to my comment?

I stopped buying tabloids magazines long time ago. It can poison the minds of those who believe in IN TOUCH, ENQUIRER, US WEEKLY. Sometimes, I trust US Weekly but not as I trust People Magazine & PARADE. They are only after the sale of their magazines specially if it concerns about Brad & Angie. Don’t worry, In Touch not a very reliable source of information. No wonder their sales are down the drain & will continue to do so until they clean their act. Brad & Angie are very much a family in France & maybe at this moment are trying to get pregnant for baby #7. God bless the Jolie-Pitt family.

I was just at WalMart yesterday and read the latest rumors on Angie and Brad and was just disgusted. The article was in “In Touch” tabloid, which I did not buy. It said that Angie and Brad are offically broken up though they are living under the same roof but each at their own side of the Marval Mansion in France. It also went on to say they put up a front for the kids, but at night they sleep alone. And, get this, when they want time with the kids, Angie takes the girls and Brad takes the boys and they all go in separate directions. Are these people staying right in the house with the family that they can make such false statements. Are they sleeping with them? I urge a total boycott against all this garbage. Fans of Angie and Brad, are you with me?

Just a heads’ up, I’m traveling home and although this motel has free wireless (woohoo!) it’s not a super strong signal so I may not stick around much this evening. Then I’m traveling the rest of the way home tomorrow and will likely get online in the evening once we’re all settled, unless I’m too tired to pull out my laptop! :D

Sharon & sonja – I´m one of those people who loved Changeling a lot. I have it on DVD and have watched it many times already. Maybe gonna watch it today. My dad also loved it. He was fascinated by the whole movie and knew that it´s based on a true story.

If they came to the premier of IB here, they might bring along their kids. We would be able to see the twins again. Remember that it was when we saw the twins for the first time? Just hoping ang praying.
