Interview with T.R. Knight

The Journal Gazette has a nice interview with T.R. Knight which focuses a bit on his storyline on the show as well as him as an actor.

There’s just a short mention of the fact that he’s recently outed himself, and it was done in a nice, factual sort of way that’s nice to see. I was worried it would be all about that and the recent drama. I was pleasantly surprised.

In a statement to People magazine, Knight confirmed Friday that he’s gay, adding that “while I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I’m gay isn’t the most interesting part of me.”

A stage actor before landing in prime time, Knight received a Drama Desk nomination for his performance in “Scattergood.” Knight says his biggest adjustment was leaving New York’s boards for Los Angeles’ camera lights.

“George and I are different, but the stages of our lives are the same. Everybody has these stages unless you are shut up in a room somewhere,” he says.

Well if anything good came out of the fight fiasco, at least T.R. is free to be himself without fear of being “outed” by the tabloids.
Aside from some juvenile remarks I’ve seen on some other blogs, for the most part the Grey’s audience seems to be supporting him, and that’s good to see.

Agreed, JCW. At least now he doesn’t have to hide it. I’m sure there has to be some element of relief on his part that it’s all in the open now.

T.R. is just adorable and sweet. I love him and his character. He’s a fabulous actor all together.
I think he’s got an intresting story going on with Callie and I hope his charater hooks up with him. I LOVE T.R.
