Is Adam Lambert Elisabeth Hasselbeck's New BFF?

New BFFs? We wouldn’t go that far, but conservative View cohost  Elisabeth Hasselbeck and controversial singer Adam Lambert did hit if off when he appeared on The View last week.

Some viewers were surprised when Elisabeth didn’t pounce on Adam for his raunchy performance at the AMAs .  She even had a few things to say in his defense.

Adam told MTV News Elisabeth is “really sweet”   and says they shared a nice moment when he tweeted on her phone under her name.  “Elisabeth and I go way back now,” he joked.

And what about the other ladies? “They were really nice,” Adam said. “I think the thing to keep in mind on that show is it’s called ‘The View.’ They’re supposed to represent opinions of different demographics in our country. I don’t take anything personally.”
