Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn left NBC’s Days Of Our Lives last week. Deidre and Drake were fired by NBC due to budget cuts. I know, firing the most important characters in Salem didn’t make sense to me either. John and Marlena’s exit storyline was that John finally regained his memory. He and Marlen got married while John was still in his hospital bed. They vowed to never ever let go of each other. John may have gotten over his amnesia, he still needs to be cured completely of God knows what. So Marlena took John to another country to get him completely cured. At least NBC didn’t kill them, yet. Now what? That leaves 2 of the most highly respected and loved actors on Daytime jobless.
Rumors and whispers are out. Deidre Hall may be showing up in Port Charles as Anthony Zacchara’s ex-wife. Deidre might be playing Claudia’s mother. Too bad it’s just a rumor though. In the February 9th issue of Soaps In Depth, Guza himself said it’s highly unlikely at this point that they’re going to hire Deidre Hall. While it’s a good storyline to expand the Zacchara canvas, there are no plans at the moment.
Sorry but sometimes I think Guza needs a wake-up call. He’d rather continue churning out recycled Mob storylines than get into the nitty gritty of family dynamics. The Zacchara Family are one of the Mob families in PC but having a Mother added to the canvas would add another twist to the story. Deidre Hall would be great. I guess we’ll have to get used to the false heroes and huge crisis that doesn’t make a freaking sense storylines. *Sigh*

Thought it was just me with this storyline, and I use the term loosely. It is repititious and boring. Robin’s baby crying constantly is beginning to get to me, too. If the “storyline” is partially to break up Lucky and Sam, (which was accomplished by his calling out Liz’s name in a tender moment), then on with it already. Crisis…where, what kind? The Metro Court was pretty good, this so-called crisis is downright stupid and boring.

I could kind of see her as the mom, maybe if she had darker hair like Claudia that’d be good.
I’m laughing at the scenes of Anthony running through the halls of GH with Sonny running after him, guns ablaze. And his conversation with Trevor in the chapel was the best.
why don’t all expose claudia for what she is,is sam and jason going back together that would be nice since he can’t be with his love liz,put back liz lucky
Would love to see Sam and Jason get back together. There is so much chemistry there, even now. It jumps off the screen at you. They don’t need to be unclothed for the sexual tension to show. Liz and Lucky are great with each. Sometimes wonder if the writers ever watch their own shows.
First of all, FIRE THE IGNORANT WRITERS ON DAYS then NBC wouldn’t fire the most beloved couple of daytime. Second, I LOVE General Hospital and Deidre Hall would be a perfect fit for Claudia’s mom. You want ratings you won’t find a more lucrative story line, picture this: Claudia’s mom (Deidre) hears about claudias pregnancy and her marriage to sonny. So she (Deidre) finally comes out of hiding from anthony because he found out that claudia wasn’t his daughter (hence the 24/7 hostility), but a poor fisherman (drake hogestyn) is her real father. So mom tells claudia the truth and why she thought claudia would have a better life with anthony and she finally tells daddy (drake) that Claudia is his daughter. He goes crazy mad and joins mob life with sonny. Meanwhile, mommy (deidre) tries to console claudia and despises her husband (drake) who was turning to mob life in his anger at her.
