Rumor has it that Warner Brothers might be developing a Harry Potter MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games). Here’s what they had to say:
The notion of creating a Harry Potter multi-player online role playing game is something that we’ve been discussing at Warner Bros. for a number of years and continue to explore.
We are currently investigating the possibility of creating our own MMORPG, but unfortunately do not have any further details to share at this time.

What do you think? Good idea, bad idea? I think I would certainly have to get in on this if it ever got off the ground. Other popular MMORPGs such as City of Heroes/City of Villains, EVE Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Dungeons & Dragons Online are HUGELY popular, and I think that a Harry Potter MMORPG would be an incredible way to explore the HP universe. What do you think?
They have a 2d mmorpg of this if the 1 warner bros was developing had the same ground based rules such as cussing you get detention killing another student detention and cyber bullying detention but the should add other roles like waitress at hogsmede or ministry of magic worker etc.

another idea would be to create your own student/person before going to
hogwarts..a bit like sims character creator. you could create them to look just like ‘u’.
u can use your real name, voice (headset) etc to comunicate…you can learn more spells, how many u like. 100 even lol.. potion making…go to lessons, have weekends off, going to hogsmeade…maybe you could create your own house : O make it accurate to ur own. and whoever friends you make u can invite round lol, thats when u arnt at school (holidays) etc…they could fit to the real date…as the years of ur person go by they could age too and u could change their fashion

it would be great like makeing a own student and you go at hogwarts and like learn spells and that. and after a time on hogwarts you can leave and like fly around in cities whit a broom i really want it to come
I think that is a very good idea.. I have some ideas thinking about right now:
1st.) In the beggining you must create your OWN CHARACTER as a very detail ones cuz we dont want our face is the same.. And in the level 1 oops I mean year 1 a tutor will be teaching you everthing about what you gonna do in Hogwarts as you go in that school.. You can choose your server (world/school) like Hogwarts or etc.. And you must clear one objective like in the novel/movie like the Philosopher Stone and defeat Voldermort for the 1st time.
2nd.) As summer comes you must be holiday right? As you are in the holidays you will be sent at your house or parents house whatever it is, you’re at the “Muggle World”.. Your summer is will be ended in 2 weeks.. As your holidays finish you will be riding a train that goes to Hogwarts.. As your there you must clear an objective which you must found out the Chamber of Secret troughout Hogwarts..
3rd.) In your third year you will be study more and more potion and kind of subject you like example: The Defence Against The Dark Arts or Herbology etc..
The objective you’ll be facing is you must break to azkaban with your 3 friends (closest friend since your in Hogwarts) so that you will be brave.. And you must take a “Permision Slip” from Dumbledore (principal) as your good at your potion classes and Quiditch classes..
4th.) At your forth year you will be heading the biggest sport year ever.. You will be joining the “Triwizard Challenge” like: Maze Racing, Underwater Finding, Riding a Dragon.. The biggest event is the Quiditch Championship which if your in a team or you can create a team..
Throughout years by years following the novels/movies for the missions..
Genius!!! Cannot wait.

In depth, hard core, mmorpg, bigger then WoW. I want, possibilities, a wand to choose me based on a test of sorts.
I want different, exotic wand cores, chance to explore the castle and all of its secrets.
I want *the* original characters in there, maybe even a way for sims dating?
List of millions of spells and potions, ability to make your own spells after graduation.
Life after Hogwarts! Teacher, healer, Death Eater, shop keeper.
I’m talking, a combination of World of Warcraft, Fable, and all holy games players hold dearly to them, all wrapped up in one wonderfully

with the right cast for voice overs
and almost complete freedom!

I believe this would be extremely successful!! A Harry Potter MMO would crush WoW because of it’s huge fan base. The only issue would be to make it 9-12 year old friendly. But I think it would be a great success!! Omg please inform me…a 21 year old..if they do make one!! I will be the first one to sign up! lol
Brilliant game if the creators make it right they should have it so theres 3 schools (all listed in the tri wizard turnoment) also hve a sorting hat to pick your own house and sort of like other mmorpgs and have multiple worlds also the spell system should be set up by mouse movemeants or even voice activated character design should have plenty of choices to make your character look like you and a chat system able to communicate threwout the world or with people in ur house
if they were making a harry potter mmo i would say that the main characters should be there but not complete the following movies like go to classes buy cool things fly your broom life afterwards hogwarts go to diagonalley and hogsmeade get your own special made wand at ollivanders explore the ministry get on a quidditch team try out duelling club free roam harrys potters universe
i think making a harry potter mmorpg is a brilliant idea so everyone who is a harry potter fan can just play freely and go to wizard classes challenge people to duels it would be awesome and to make it better u can do quidditch and choose which harry potter year u want to play i hope there is one coming.

Oh, this sounds great! It would make tons of money since there are so many fans.. It should go through all the school years and allow you to help the Dark Lord.. Maybe even interact with main characters!
It Would Be A Good Game But Think Of All The 7-13 Year Olds Running Around Since The Book Is Based To That Age Also It Wouldnt Be Able To Have Player Vs Player Fighting As It Wouldnt Be Age Appropriate For The Age Group Its Aged At. Also How Many People Could Hogwarts Hold It Would Get Overcrowded To Quickly. Then They Have To Think About Getting All The Elements Into The Game Like Flying Books Etc. And Lastly Think Of All The Meshes All The Meshes In The Harry Potter World Would Be Completley Different To The Meshes In Other MMORPGs Such As World Of Warcraft, Runescape So The Game Would Take Lots Of Effort And Hard Time To Make. Just Adding One More Thing Warner Brothers Fail At Making Video Games And EA Games Fails At Making MMOs Who Would Make The Game To Actually Make It Good?
It would be so cool to have them make an actual online game of Harry Potter MMORPG I would be playing it all the time and like someone else said it would take a long time to make cause of all the stuff that would have to be put in it, but for all we know they could have already started working on it ever since harry potter become the most popular movie in the world, and if they are or thinking about making it here’s some of the things i would love to see how it turns out i got some really great ideas, k first it starts out as you can create your own character however you want with all the hairstyles, body texture, etc. and after you got how you want your character to look like then when it comes to the name, age, etc. then of course you would have a spot to put in your first middle and last name including your age, and your bio telling about your character then you can start and of course its just like in the movies the same areas you start from home and go to diagonally to the bank get your gold go buy what you need and go to Hogwarts get sorted into your housing and you know you have classes, learn spells, have duels but as long as your in the dueling area your character wont get only when your not in there, and face enemies and as years go by your character will start getting older automatically, and here’s another good one if the character gets hurt by a spell that someone casts at them then they would have to wait until someone picks them up and takes them to the hospital, o and that reminds me, the characters would also have a lot of emotes basically any emote that people can do in real life such as sing, dance, life, air guitar, punch, jump, wave, nod, beg, crouch, sit, eat, spin, hug, drink, choke, slap, scream, run, intimidate, scratch head, dodge, slide, etc. literally any emote that you can do in real life, and when your character dies, then its permanent death, i have a lot of ideas for the game in case your trying to think of something more, and the best part is like some rpg games its real 3-D, so i really hope you make the game and at least the ideas that i mention and you choose what idea you think is really good
