I’ve gotta say it. Everyone’s talking about it. Where’s the excitement??? I do have a theory about this and it actually doesn’t involve Sanjaya!
What is wrong with the judges??? Randy, Paula and Simon seem apathetic, at best, like they are just hanging around to get paid. What ever happened to the days when contestants were told to take risks? I can think of a million occasions when Idol hopefuls were berated for playing it safe. Now, when it’s mentioned, it’s casual – like it’s more of an observation than a scolding. I think the only way to get the show back on track is not to get rid of Sanjaya (though that day should come), but to make the other contestants step up their game. No one wants to vote for a good singer who is dull and boring. We love extravagance, a good scandal even. BRING ON THE TONGUE LASHINGS!
Where is the meanness? Where is the encouragement? For goodness sake – Where is the entertainment???

i think American i idol can be pretty boring but right now they are doing kind of good

Randy being an African American male who is old enough to know and understand the history of Black America, I am disappointed that you continue to use the word “dog” to refer to people. You use this word for males and females and it is offensive to us that not only remember the struggle, but lived through it. Maybe you think this word is hip and acceptable, but the black community that is over 30 years old and enjoys American Idol disagree. Please reconsider not using this term of endearment “what you might call it” especially when it comes to the women. Our black children hear enough derogatory and defiling words with other black “superstars”. Please give what I am saying some thought.

I believe that the judges are as shocked as everyone else. They had nothing to do with who showed up for adutions. They are dealing with what they ended up with.
