Well, we all knew it was coming, but it’s still kind of sad: a judge has signed the final papers for Jon and Kate Gosselin and they are now officially divorced.
Kate’s spokesperson says that Kate will get to stay in the BIG house with all eight of the kids, so at least their lives will be relatively unchanged. If you can say that with their parents getting divorced. Divorce sucks no matter how easy the parents try to make it.
Kate’s focus is on restructuring their lives together (her and the kids). She had this to say about the final decision:
“I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on our children.”
No details on who got what, but after Jon has run through most of their money earned from their lucrative TLC show (which has been cancelled), I doubt there will be too much to spread around. I’m guessing that it will be pretty much split down the middle.
