Well, this story comes from the National Enquirer, saying that Janet Jackson is angry with Beyoncé. Apparently, Bey was being interviewed by Elle Magazine and had some not-so-nice things to say about the Jackson family.
“I grew up upper class. Private school,” Beyonce says. “My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like The Jacksons. But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”
So then, an inside source reportedly contacted the National Enquirer saying, "Yes, Janet and the Jackson family came from Gary, Indiana, and there was a time they barely squeaked by. But Janet has many loving memories and is incensed that Beyonce would make a crack like that.”
The source supposedly goes on to say, “Janet wanted to know why Beyonce had to mention her family. They’re not friends and barely know each other. She feels Beyonce went out of her way to tell the world she’s from the upper class and the Jacksons were like a bunch of dirty gutter rats.”
Then, it seems like a threat is made when the insider says, "Not only is Janet telling everyone who will listen that Beyonce has a lot of growing up to do and that she needs to stop trying to impress everyone, she’s planning to confront Beyonce herself and read her the riot act."
Well, I don’t actually believe that it went all out like that. I mean, we’re talking about the National Enquirer here, so don’t take this too seriously. They aren’t very reliable. However, I do think that what Bey said was a bit rough. What do you guys think? Is this beef with Janet really as bad as they say it is?

Whatever. Janet is just feeding into what Beyonce said. So, it wasn’t exactly nice what Bey said, but so what? Let it go, like other ADULTS would do.
You know that at the age of thirty-six, I have come to realize that objects and people that appear to be happy and full–really are not.
Janet Jackson and her family have paved the way for many Americans, black and white and all that in-between–who and what gives the right to anyone to fix their mouth to say anything about another person’s family.
I put it this way as nicely as I can. Rumors are rumors and truth is truth. None spoke about Matthew Knowles alleged coke habit and whores. The media and papers did that! None spoke about Tina Knowles’s reporting in media take.com (http://www.mediatakeout.com/2008/4279-tacky_tina_knowles_i_am_not_black.html) that she was not black–she was French and Cherokee Indian and then another interview it is stated she is Creole. The case we have here is that Janet Jackson has something Beyonce does not and therefore she has to attack that woman’s family. I think it is low down and bull#@*!
It really amaze me how people are really humble when they are just starting out in the industry, but as soon as they make a couple of dollars then they dont need nobody! perfect example Mrs. Carter. Dont you entertainers realize That you are only great in the moment and for some that really know how to work it, will be go on for a era of that music style. Which spells out IT DONT LAST. Now let’s take a look at what Bey allegedly said. “people assume we were the jacksons but I didnot have my parents using me to get out of a bad situation.
Now was that a nice thing to say about the jacksons? maybe not. was that something that has been said a million times before – yes.
Now if you look at the Jacksons the movie it depicted Joe struggling as construction worker laid off, wife pregnant yet with another child – maybe 6 or 7 at that time. So at that time the Jacksons were in a bad situation. Joe from my understanding wanted to become a musician and he lived his dreams through his children.
He used his children to get his family out of a bad situation. That’s not a lie, that’s true. Whether you like to call it something else just makes it semantics.
But the truth while it hurts still makes it the truth. Now did Janet say anything to the National Enquirer – I doubt it. Was Bey’s comment out of line – possibly, maybe, ok yes it was but was it also true….yes it was.

I think that the comments were a bit harsh. In my oponion Beyonce does not have any respect for the people that paved they way for people like herself to enjoy a career at the level that she is currently experiencing. I say this as I recall whne she performed at the Grammy’s and attempted an unsucessful effort to out dance Tina Turner. Families should be off limits. If she wants to take a clean shot at Janet take it to the stage. Beyonce can only wish to have a career that spams years like Janet. If Beyonce wants to deliver street level insults, Janet can come back at her and say that at least her daddy took her to the top with her clothes on and did not pimp her out like Beyonce’s daddy by stripping her down and exposing her like a $ whore.

I practice law in NY. An attorney baby! I passed the Bar exam on the first try. I scored so high on the Multistate exam that the NY Examiners did not have to score the NY part of my exam. I am very successful in my craft and can enjoy anything I want in life. I am the youngest attorney in my office and envied by many. So not only did i try it I CONQUERED IT, I SURPASSED IT, & thinking of ways to not only enhance my craft but to share my valuable skills with others.
Now as an Attorney we measure a person by credibility. If anyone uses MediaFAKEout.com as a source it diminishes their credibility. For a 36yr old college educated person to suggest others try college is so immature. I took college AP courses in HS, who has not tried college?Attending college equates to attending HS in my world not a big task to defeat. But is that it, is that all you have to offer? such small feats and immaturity to this blog?

Now for the issue at hand. No one is addressing the actual question Elle posed to beyonce that elicited the response. I think Bey was stating that basically not all AFr. Amer. are poor. Why are people making this a JJ vs Bey is beyond me. But people need to get over it already!

Let’s make sure we’re not insulting anyone’s accomplishments or putting down anyone(not that I’m saying you are). It seems most of us can agree that what Beyonce said wasn’t the greatest thing. It’s never nice to talk about another families problems out in the open.
Beyonce and Janet are both wonderful women. Not everyone will agree with that but I personally think that both of them are fabulous – in their own way. For me, it’s hard to go wrong with them.

I have to say something in this I’m not on either side but I have to call it as I see it no matter how much people try to defend beyonce be real if you were Janet how would you react to a comment like that. I remember someone said in there comment that the Jackson’s have heard this before, Yes they have but beyonce’s whole image is based on a good, nice, down to earth wholesome girl persona no one expected her to say that. I remember a certain E true hollywood special about Beyonce/Destiny Child and beyonce’s mom said that Matthew quit his job to focus on getting Destiny’s Child a record deal the mom said it almost broke there marriage up, they lived in seperate places beyonce, her mom and solange. She said they lived in a small apartment, mom worked and dad did not work, but he kept using (yea I used the same words that came out of Miss Beyonce’s mouth ) Destiny’s Child until he got that record deal kept using beyonce until he eliminated all the girls so she can be the multi-million dollar women she is now. Fact is that Joe Jackson did use his kids. Beyonce didn’t say anything that was untrue, she just stated the facts. I think for Janet to supposedly be upset is a crock.
