Jay Manuel sat down with the New York Post this week to talk about all things Top Model. They chatted about the upcoming finale, smize-ing, Tyra’s wealth and more.
I love how positive Jay is about everything, even smizing, which I think he’s not a fan of. He’s happy and surprised with the winner and that the finale this time is a surprise. I can’t wait to see it!
Who do you think the “surprising” winner is going to be?
has anyone noticed that in the promo pic http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8b/Antmcycle13promo.jpg all the girls on the right went home. does anyone thing there is a pattern that leads to the winner?
Laura is getting a good edit right now but that means nothing the same with Nicole. Jennifer has been expected to win this since the cycle started since she’s the Asian girl. These three girls are frontrunners right now so if either won it wouldn’t necessarily be a surprise unless you count the fact that the awkward girl (in this case Nicole) has never won, Laura’s accent could be an issue and Jennifer just doesn’t deserve to win at this point. Which leaves Sundai and she’s even less deserving than Jennifer. So you have Erin who’s getting the b@tch edit but was saved last week so you have the possible redemption arc. You also have Brittany whose sort of midpack/no-personality edit who is desperate to model. I still say Brittany or Erin could be the surprise winners. Especially based on babycakes’ last post about the winner not being obvious and she really seemed to emphasize this in the case of Nicole.
Pleaz stop hatin on her!!! but i have a feeling shez goin home becuz in the preview on the CW website one of the modelz missed the photoshoot and it showed clips of all the otherz @ the shoot except her. I’m sad:( pleaz stop hatin on Sundai!!! She’z amazing!!!

Sundai winning would be the only real suprise win. I swear to god if she wins it, i will never watch any future seasons of this show as long as Trya banks is running the show.
the winner is definately not brittany or erin cause they are not ‘ surprising ‘ winners if they win.
sundai – shortest girl, hence surprising
laura – small town girl, hence surprising
jennifer – asian, 1st asian winner, hence surprising
nicole – really laidback and shy, hence surprising
I think it could be either Erin courtesy of a redemption arc or Brittany, because she’s sort of invisible but highly competitive and of all the girls has been trying to model for the longest (as witnessed by her many, many test shots).
Sundai winning would probably justify the petite cycle because you have folks who are annoyed that more girls weren’t Sundai’s size in this cycle. But she’d have to seriously up her game in these last few epis and everyone else would have to self-destruct. I know Tyra sways panel via her photo selections and that Nigel is her puppet but a Sundai win would truly be shocking.
i think jay should run the show. tyra can be creative director or something. dunno, that’s just my opinion.
I dont really buy that “surprise” thing, last cycles they’ve been saying the same and it always turns out to a very predictible winner… it’s always tyra’s favorite and it makes me sick, if sundai wins i’m gonna scream(and not in a good way)
