Jay-Z Accepts U.N.A. Award and Talks About Kids

Jay-Z was acknowledged at the U.N.A. Global Leadership Awards Gala for his work in bringing water pumps to Africa. After all the dedication he put towards his “Water for Life” project, it’s safe to say he’s earned his recognition by receiving the Champions Of The Millennium Goals Award. The video above is of Jay accepting the award.

While abroad, Jay was asked by People if he had any plans to adopt kids while he was there, something promoted by other celeb such as Angelina Jolie and Madonna. His response, “No, I don’t want to bring any kids home.”

He spoke about wanting to raise his own biological kids. “Most people dream of having a family someday. So I’m just a regular American boy.”

The rapping phenom also described his reaction to being able to help the African people. “Many charities, you close your eyes and cross your fingers and hope that the money gets to the people who really deserve it. But with this, I got to go to Africa, see the water pumps. I got to see the kids turn them on.”

This is just more reason to love Jay. I mean, why can’t more celebrities give a lending hand to charities and put in as much effort as he does? He’s a busy person, but still he finds the time to make sure he helps out where he can.

Damn, no shout out on the scoop, LC? LOL! J/K!

I think her and Jay will have kids 2 years from now (after the year long world tour next year that we know is coming like last time). Then she’ll be about 29 which is around the age she said she wanted to start having kids.

Proud of Jay getting his award. It’s always great to see celebs doing something good with their money and fame. Especially a rapper getting acknowledged for good deeds and not criminal ones.

Lol, QD! The news must have gotten to me before I read your message. I would never miss a good opportunity to give you a shout out!

But yes, I agree. 2 years is a good guesstimate.
