50 Cent Pushes Jay-Z to #2 on Forbes Hip Hop Cash King List

Yes, you heard correctly. Someone actually beat out Jay-Z on the 2008 Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings list. Who beat him out? None other than 50 Cent. Even with the $150 million deal with Live Nation, his album “American Gangster“, his tour with Mary J Blige on top of several other money making projects, Hova’s income was still less than Fiddy’s total.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson had numerous projects this year including a contract with VitaminWater,  ventures in the movie biz, video games and the release of his newest album, “Curtis“, which made him $150 million richer this year, while Jay made $82 million. Reports also say that Jay should watch out next year as well because 50 may be joining with Patrice Motsepe, a miner from South Africa, worth billions of dollars, by making his own brand of bling.
