Rap mogul, Jay-Z seems to think that ever since the election of the current U.S. president, Barack Obama, who is the first president of African-American descent, the gangsta “became less relevant.”
He explains to magazine Cigar Aficionado, “Obama represents so much hope for blacks and Latinos. The hope he represents is bigger than any of the huge problems he could possibly correct. When you have positive role models, you can change your life for the better. The day Obama got elected, the gangsta became less relevant.”
Do you guys agree with him?

not entirely, sure the gangsta did become less relevent because of Obama, before people were hopeless but after Obama become president they have no excuse! Obama proves that if you work hard & believe in yourself then you achieve your goal, so now kids won’t look up to gangsters & drog dealers because that idea that they had that the only way to be successful & to make money is by doing illegal stuff is no longer true.
but still I’m sure there is people who choose to take the easy way, they don’t feel like working hard, they have no dignity.
