Jennifer Hudson Attends Emotional Memorial Service for Mother, Brother and Nephew

Academy Award winner and former American Idol finalist, Jennifer Hudson, is said to have kissed her mom as she lay in her casket at a private service in Chicago yesterday for her mother, brother and nephew, who were killed late last month. 

I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the place when Fantasia Barrino got up and sang “Your Grace and Mercy,” during which she held Jennifer’s hand.  Both Reverend Jesse Jackson and Chicago Mayor Richard Daley spoke at the service. 

The Hudson family members, who traveled from the service in horse-drawn carriages, will be buried at Oak Woods Cemetery on the South Side of Chicago.
