Jennifer Lopez has had several wonderful film roles, but there have been a few that really stand out. Some have helped make Jennifer a household name, some have brought her acting ability to the next level, and others have simply reminded us of what a wonderful talent she is. Here are a few of J-Lo’s most important film roles.

Money Train

Anaconda
It’s just too cool to say you were in a movie with a (ginormous) snake. Besides that, this movie gave Jennifer’s acting skills more attention. You can even tell by the trailer that Jennifer is becoming a bigger star. (She’s given more screen time even in the preview.)

Selena
The pre-film hubbub for this movie could have sidelined her career. Selena fans were furious that an actress of Puerto Rican dissent had been chosen to play the Tejano singer. But Jennifer took on the challenge and made even Selena’s family proud of her job in the film. To date, this is probably her most important film role, and the ones fans really seem to remember.

The Wedding Planner
Jennifer made history with this film by being the only person to have a #1 film and #1 album in the same week. But when J-Lo does something, she does it big! She also showed her comedic ability in this film and as a result it’s one of her best roles ever.

Out of Sight
This film still remains one of the best ever. Jennifer had fabulous chemistry with George Clooney, and the story line fit her to a tee.
