Forbes has completed it’s list of the world’s most powerful and best paid celebs. Our very own J-Lo is on the list. (Of course!) Where does she rank? I’ll tell ya in a minute.
First, Forbes doesn’t go just by income alone. Being powerful, in their estimation, comes from earnings, but then “factors in media metrics like Google hits, press mentions as compiled by Factiva, TV/radio mentions from Lexis/Nexis and the number of times an A-lister appears on the cover of more than 50 consumer magazines” is also taken into consideration. Power, it seems, involves “buzz” and exposure as well as income.
As an aside, Jen’s ex Sean Combs ranked 33rd on the list.

And Jennifer Lopez?. She ranked 54th on the list. Smack dad in the middle. I’d say given that she hasn’t been in many movies lately and has taken some time off for motherhood, this is pretty good. Jen has done some solid branding of herself, and the affect is that she doesn’t need to be working like to dog to maintain her high-power status. Still, Jen DOES work all the time, and that’s one thing we admire about her.
