Did you watch Jerseylicious last night? If you missed the premiere of the Style Network show, you didn’t get a chance to see hairstylist Tracy DiMarco in action. But luckily for you, we caught up with Tracy at the show’s premiere party in Hoboken, N.J. where she talked to us about her feud with the show’s other young diva, make up artist Olivia Blois Sharpe, her daily hair routine and tips for teasing.
Tell us a little bit about your plotline on the show?
Obviously my plotline is to exceed my career and what I expect, all my dreams at the Gatsby salon. But I obviously don’t get along with Olivia and along the way I think of little ways to get her fired or make her quit because she’s had enough. I bring my boyfriend [Lorenzo], who is her ex-boyfriend, into the salon all the time. I mean, I literally love to torture her. It’s a great experience because while I’m at work, it’s like a game, too. It’s the greatest thing. She’s so easy to torture.
How did you two end up working together?
We actually didn’t know that we were trying out for the same job. She was walking out of her interview as I was walking in and I was like, ‘I can’t believe this.’ But I wanted the job so much more after I saw she was there, I was like, ‘I’m not letting this girl get into my life.’
How did you know each other before the show?
I only knew her because she was Lorenzo’s ex-girlfriend. No one’s ever heard of her since Lorenzo brought her out, and that’s really why. I’ve always been friends with Lorenzo and we started a romantic relationship after. We’ve been together for a year now.
How did your feud with Olivia eventually end up?
You guys have to really check in to watch that. Obviously the drama is always going to be there, and I’m never going to like her and no matter what she does to try to get me to be her friend, I’m not going to.
You two also compete professionally on the show. How did that go down?
She is a good make up artist, I have to give her that. She holds her own. And we were fighting for different positions so it’s not like we’re directly competitive, but for [salon owners] Gayle and Christy’s approval — we fight for that a lot.
Do you still work at the salon? Does she?
Yes, we all still work together. And it’s still hard. I go in every day and I say, ‘I can’t believe I’m going here and spending my days with her.’ But whatever.
In these sorts of feuds people join teams. Are there teams?
Yes. There is a Team Olivia and a Team Tracy at all times. People have been making shirts, people have been writing all over Facebook, it’s been big. I mean, Team Tracy, Team Olivia, it’s like Team Edward and Team Jacob.
Is there anything that could ever resolve your feud?
The only thing she could ever do to resolve it with me is get on her hands and knees and beg for my forgiveness, and then she would have to do a few other things. I’m not one to forgive and forget. I always remember, I’m very spiteful, I’m very vindictive when I have to be. When you do me wrong, you best believe you will be cut from my friend list and I will spend my life making yours miserable.
Besides the feud, professionally, what is your story on the show? What challenges do you face?
I face challenges every day just like everybody else. Me learning men’s haircuts or me exceeding in color and excelling in all the different techniques you have to know. Everyone has learning to do. I want to take my classes and learn as much as I can from Gayle and Christy and hopefully do the best that I can.
Is there any one episode that we should look for?
Definitely look for my birthday argument, the fake and bake argument. It’s infamous, known as the parking lot argument. That one is pretty big, that episode is pretty good altogether.
What is your daily hair routine?
I blow out my hair, full curls, as big as I can. And I tease it. I will not leave the house without teasing my hair. I just can’t do it. It’s teased right now. I just can’t. In beauty school they used to call me Tray Tease and that pretty much stuck and everyone calls me that when they see me, so that’s my thing.
How long does it take to do your hair in the morning?
I mean, I’m pretty quick. So like an hour total.
You do it everyday? Even when you go to the beach?
Hair should look good no matter where you go. 7-Eleven, the beach, it doesn’t matter. I try to look pretty contained and put together at all times.
What’s one teasing tip you would give girls at home?
It’s always at the crown. Just tease and then spray. So tease it first and then use hairspray. It doesn’t matter what it looks like walking around the house, Cindy Lou Who, it doesn’t matter. Let it sit, and then brush it out and it’s going to be the best, most volumous [sic] hairstyle you’ve ever seen.

You butt heads don’t know anything about Tracy the only shit you see is just on TV you guys don’t know what goes on when the cameras are off. Olivia is a evil bitch she’s not an angel she’s evil and she needs to fucking die. Skinny bitches are evil Tracy looks the way a normal woman should nice and curvy. Tracy looks like a man and really needs to drop like 20lbs before wearing the clothes she wears. I’m not sure why so many people even like her. Obviously(this word was said a million times in her interveiw) Tracy will never be a better person than Olivia, so she should go hop off a cliff or die of hairspray inhalation or just leave the show so no one has to look at her disgusting face and body again. kaythanksbye

I love the show we are jersey guys and u represent us perfectly. I love you girls in your own special way except Alexa she’s weird ,ugly and annoying. Olivia i think ur talented in what you do. Tracy I love how you wear your hair. But the person I like the most is Gigi I love her personality ur awesome. I’m a jerseylicious fan forever and always!!

I absolutely love the show and by far my favorite cast member is Olivia. She reminds me of what I use to be. I use to let people run all over me and talk down to me because I didn’t know how to defend myself, but through different trials and tribulations, I definitely learned. Although the show is somewhat scripted it’s not going to make me want to stop watching it. I mean really think about it, every reality show out there has the same type of cast members; there’s the villain, the saint, the do no wrong, the bullied one, the voice of reason, the obsessed with their looks, and the party girl. No matter how much you tell people, it’s not real, they will continue to watch these shows. Since I do work at DISH Network everyone knows that on Sundays at 8PM to turn to the Style Network so I can see one of my favorite shows and make sure it’s in HD because I have to see just how tan Olivia really is. DISH Network HD is so much crisper and cleaner and I just love how you get to see how truly pigmented everyone is.
I’d swear that Tracey is guy who has been chopped and channeled! She is ugly and when she sits down her balls show from underneath her dress.

Wow there’s still morons out that that think this is real. How many times has this show been shot at fake club scenes where the music is played on the lowest volume. Hmmm. Olivia and Doria are at a 12 O’clock homecoming nearby but then run right to the Gatsby where it’s now PITCH BLACK OUT!!!!! LOL! Oh and a camera just happens to be filming just Gayle during closed hours for no reason when they get there. Oh how about when Doria comes in and screams out loud to be “funny” NOT ONE “customer” in the background looks over at her. Yeah, that seems normal.Oh how about background clock time changes during “continuous” conversations. God, people are stupid.
People like Tracy should be completely ignored. We should pay no attention to a person with no substance like her. She should disappear from the media.

I couldnt been oliva cuz i would have KILLED Tracy. I can’t stand tracy either… She has such a bad character. and the spitting incident was so disgusting. I’m surprised the police wasn’t called. on another note – Am i the only one that can see through the lines? GiGi may act like she’s all innocent and what not but I know she’s jealous of Olivia too. Why else would she tell tracy that olivia was dating her ex. I know she secretly does not like her… She’s shady. Hey GiGi if your reading this, get a nose job and tracy get some better fitting clothes or lose some weight. I like how Tracy is always telling us the words ” EDIT EDIT EDIT” what she’s really saying is “BS BS BS”… i mean what editing are the producers doing when the words “I literally love to torture her. It’s a great experience because while I’m at work, it’s like a game, too. It’s the greatest thing. She’s so easy to torture.” Tell us now that the producers edited that too. Just admit ur a jealous low life thats sooo sad u have to feed on others to make urself fell better!
Personally, i think tracy is a total bitch! She acts like she’s so classy and professional, but does high school bs by going out of her way to mess w/Olivia!! She is a miserable little girl so she makes others misewrable so she’ll feel better. Grow up!

I love the show but Tracey your so disgusting to spit in Olivias face is classless. They only made around 3 team Tracey shirts one for you 2 for those other 2 peeps that commented they actually like you although you would probably need all 3 to fit you
Olivia is my favourite in the show. Tracy might seem like a bad person but there is good and bad in every person. Tracy is a good person, but when she’s angry, she gets really angry, however she is still a good person it’s just that she had some bad experience in life thats why she act lyke that. stop saying that she is mean becus ur starting to sound mean and judgemental
i love Olivia i think she is funny, cool, and a friendly girl, but Tracy is ok too. She is very loud and an angry person but i like that about her. Tracy might have anger problems, but she isn’t the only one so just leave her alone. both girls make the show interesting and fun. hwoever I dont like seeing them fight everyday.
