A few months ago, we posted this Tweet from Jessica Simpson about her friend in life and in faith, Billy Corgan, frontman of 90′s alternative rock group, The Smashing Pumpkins.

Turns out they might have more in common than just belief in a higher power!

According to a friend of Jess:
“She has completely fallen for Billy and his easygoing, smart attitude. She says she wants to take things a lot further.”
According to the LimeLife article, Jess has been actively pursuing Billy since they were seen flirting at a party in November. An eyewitness said of their interaction:
“As the night went on. Things got more intense and they talked with their faces just inches apart.”
It is kind of odd that this took place in November, considering Jess has recently been linked to ex John Mayer and Gerard Butler. Between these relationships, her family and friends, and her career, how could she have found the time to begin pursing Corgan? Although, out of the three, I would like Corgan best for Jess. John and Gerard are hotties, but it is no secret that they like to play the field. Maybe it’s time Jess found someone who is content to sit on the benches with her.
