Will Jessica Simpson be replacing Paula Abdul?
Since Paula Abdul’s abrupt departure from American Idol, the rumor mills have been working overtime and speculation is flying as to who will fill her coveted spot.
Jennifer Lopez, Queen Latifah and Cyndi Lauper are just a few of the names that have been flying around. And now, add Jessica Simpson to that list.
Reports are claiming that Papa Joe has kicked it into high gear and is piling on the pressure to get producers to hire Jessica as Paula’s replacement. Joe Simpson feels that Jessica would be the perfect replacement and he is definitely able to back up that claim. Jessica is no stranger to reality television, shooting to stardom with Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica and has been in the music industry since she was just a teenager. So, I’m sure she knows a thing or two.
I wonder where Jessica will find the time to be both a judge on American Idol and the host of the reality series The Price of Beauty. I think this rumor is just that… a rumor.

I’m kinda glad she didn’t get this job. She has so many other talents, this would take up all of her time.
