Since announcing her split from husband Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson has been may things, but wallowing in her sorrows is not one of them.
According to People – Jessica Simpson recently threw a birthday dinner for her assistant and best friend CaCee Cobb at the hip steakhouse The Lodge in Beverly Hills.
Simpson and her party of 20 dined on steak, drank wine and indulged in an array of desserts.
The group sang “Happy Birthday” not once, but three times to Cobb, with the first round led by Ms. Simpson. Jessica, the gracious hostess, picked up the tab on her Black American Express card.

I know that Jessica Simpson and Nick should GET BACK TOGETHER!!!!!! I love Jessica Simpson and I watch the Newlyweds on DVD and it makes me sooo sad seeing how happy they were!! I really hope that they realize that they can make it. I alos hope that Vanessa girl stays away from Nick because his heart belongs to Jessica ONLY!!
