In a recent candid interview, Joe Nichols discusses his past problem with alcohol addiction, his recovery, and the release of his new album, “Old Things New.”
After a stay in rehab two years ago, Joe admits that for the first time in years he feels great about what he’s doing, and that the new album is like a new beginning for him, with each song having a special meaning to him.
“An Old Friend of Mine” is especially meaningful, as it talks about his addiction. Joe explains that it was tough having only three minutes to convey how important the experience and his story are. It’s a great interview, and I commend Joe for not only taking the steps necessary to recover to but for sharing his story with us!
