While Nicole Richie stayed in Los Angeles to party, Joel Madden trekked across the country to enjoy the Superbowl festivities happening in Tampa Bay, Florida. His brother Benji managed to hit up both parties on each coast, as the pair went to the ESPN The Magazine’s NEXT Super Bowl Party on January 30.
ESPN’s party might be the biggest bash of the Superbowl. Loads of celebrities, including Dallas Friday, Stacey Kleiber, Christian Slater, Lindsay Lohan, MC Hammer, Shannon Sharpe and more walked the red carpet.
Inside, Samantha Ronson DJed. Apparently, the turnout for this year’s Superbowl extravaganzas has been disappointing, with lots of A-list celebrities being no-shows. I wonder why–could it be the location, the economy, or just a series of weird coinciences that several stars–including Mario Lopez, Fergie and P Diddy–didn’t show?
Joel told the press he had “3 or 4″ parties he was planning on attending, and was even DJing one of them. Joel and Benji DJed at the Maxim party, which they attended before hitting up the ESPN party. I’m not sure which other parties they went to.
The next morning, Joel and Benji participated in DIRECTV’s 3rd annual Celebrity Beach Bowl. Today, they’ll be at the XLIII when the Arizona Cardinals take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Who are you rooting for?
