Joel Madden Cheating On Nicole Richie With Hilary Duff?

Nicole Richie thinks that Joel is having an emotional affair with Hilary.

Star Magazine isn’t holding out much hope for ‘Happily Ever After’ between Joel Madden and his five-months pregnant girlfriend Nicole Richie. The weekly snitch source now claims the Good Charlotte star is having ‘an emotional affair’ with his ‘Lizzie McGuire’ ex Hilary Duff.

‘Nicole considers any interaction between Joel and Hilary cheating,’ a N.R insider spills to Star. ‘She doesn’t like Hilary and doesn’t want Joel having anything to do with her.’

‘When she heard the Joel had been reaching out to Hilary, she completely freaked out. She confronted him and broke down in tears. Even if he wasn’t doing anything but talking, Nicole feels totally betrayed. She told Joel exactly how she feels about Hilary, and he knew he shouldn’t have been trying to contact her,’ the source reveals.

The mag claims Joel has been texting Hilary, who is now dating NHL star Mike Comrie, several times a day over the last few weeks.

Star’s mole says: ‘He deletes all his text messages and locks his cell phone so that Nicole can’t access it. He hates being so sneaky.’
‘It’s gotten to the point where Joel wants to meet up to talk in person, but he hasn’t worked up the nerve….He’s so worried about how Nicole would react that he’s a wreck just thinking about it.’
