Joel Madden Lets Love Plan Babies

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden may be expecting their second child, but that still doesn’t mean they have a family plan.

“We let love plan our babies,” he told Ryan Seacrest. “We said even before this one we didn’t know how many kids we were going to have … then we got pregnant!”

The news was cause for celebration, but it also caught his own family off guard because Joel had denied pregnancy rumors just weeks before!

“My mom called me and she’s like, ‘Is Nicole … ?’ Every time, I’m like, ‘Mom, come on, seriously. I would tell you.’ And then I swear, two weeks later, it was like … it comes true! But we’re excited about it, it’s going to be great.”

Joel is clearly a doting dad, because he suffers from a little separation anxiety every time he has to leave his 14-month-old daughter Harlow at home and head to the studio.

“That’s hard man, when you leave your kid and they’re saying no,” he said.

I’ll bet it is! Good Charlotte’s new album Cardiology is set for release later this year.
