Joel Madden Talks to Australia's Herald Sun

Joel Madden talked to the Herald Sun yesterday about God Charlotte’s new remix album, raising a child in Hollywood and more.

The 18th Annual Environmental Media Awards - Arrivals

Joel and Nicole may be a team but there’s one thing you’ll never see them do together-work professionally.

“From day one even as our relationship was finding its own path, we’ve always said we’ll never work together,” Joel told the paper. “We’ve never done a red carpet together, we don’t do photo shoots together. The only thing we do together publicly is our charity.”

I think this is a smart move. It lets them be established separately as professionals in an industry where everyone is ready to partner you and give you a cutesy name-TomKat or Brangelina, anyone? I know it’s something couples never strive for, but it can definitely hinder one’s career.

Joel also talks about what a good influence Nicole has been on him at home and how much fatherhood has changed him for the better. He also has the same complaints Nicole does about raising a child in Hollywood, but acknowledges that being famous allows him to give Harlow opportunities she would never otherwise get.

It’s an interesting article and you can read it for yourself here.

woah, why are they always saying such crap? first they have done photo-shoots together and not just for charity.

second, harlow is still an infant, so they basically know nothing yet about “raising a child in hollywood”.

just more holier-than-thou, elitest crap-thinking that all rich people in hollywoood are evil nimbobs who are not as righteous as the morally-superior folks else where. BS! this is just more religous-right crap from the “we’re so great” madden brothers perspective that only poor people are good, moral people or parents. apparently in their world jesus has no problem with ppeople who are so full of themselves.

truth be told, people in hollywood are no different than others when it comes to morality. their lives are just put out for public consumption…

shame on you, nicole! kudos to paris for ditching benji. i’m sure his moral-superior attitude towards paris and her family must have gotten pretty old….
